No...its not funny and yes, it is kinda sad......actually its shows some voters to be pitiful morons.....
You just refuse to recognize the double standards practiced in this country........
I don't believe a vast majority of blacks voted for Obama just because hes black and I realize some blacks did not vote for him......these voters voted because of they are ideologically Democrats or Republicans .... liberals or conservatives....... or they believed we needed change...or believed his rhetoric during the campaign....
Blacks have been voting for white men for decades, because they were Democrats.....that was the determining factor....they didn't sit at home and not vote.
If you admit you did or did not vote for someone solely on the basis of race, you are by definition a racist....thats just the plain fact of the matter......

Yes, there is a double standard. And there should be one. The black experience in America and in American electoral politics is quite a bit different from the experiences of white people. The same goes for women. I'm sure some black primary voters voted for Obama because he's black and I'm sure that some female primary voters voted for Hillary because she's a woman. Does that make those voters a bunch of racists and sexists?
In any event, I don't see voting for a person because of their race as racist. I see not voting for someone because of their race as racist. I mean, Samuel L. Jackson is an older guy. This wasn't his first rodeo. I'm sure he voted for a white guy in the past. It isn't as though he abstained from electoral politics until 2008 because he refused to vote for white guys. That being the case, I fail to see how voting for Obama because he is black (as opposed to not voting for McCain because he's white) is racist. I just don't see it as a decision based on animosity towards white people so I don't see it as racist.

They aren't the same thing. Not voting for someone because of their race is borne out of animosity towards their race, while voting for someone because of their race is not. One it racist, the other isn't.

On the flip side, I cannot see a scenario where not voting for a person solely because of his race can be the product of anything other than racism.

Well, there are few (if any) non-racist reasons for a white person to choose to vote for a white person. And there are no intelligent reasons. That's not the case with minority groups that historically have been severely underrepresented in elected office. The fact of severe underrepresentation in elected office, particularly at the national level, is itself a pretty damned good non-racist reason to vote for a person based on race (or sex when it comes to women). It's not terribly complex stuff here, SF.
