The same prosecutor that let other charges die on the vine (statute of limitations) has "indicted" Hunter just in time to make it so that he can plead the fifth just after Congress subpoenas him, thus saving pResident Brandon's bacon again.
(Though, if they carefully ask only about the stuff where the statute of limitations has already passed there would be no fifth protection as he cannot be prosecuted for those crimes and therefore could not incriminate himself.)

HE was indicted by a grand jury, not a prosecutor. The prosecutor has a lot of control over that process, but one would never be able to control the timing as closely as you suggest.
I think Biden should testify and I think he should plead guilty to the charges and accept his punishment. It is clear to me he is getting treated worse by the DA because of who he is and the politics of the situation, but maybe that is a good thing, maybe people from elite families should be held to a higher standard.
It is very entertaining to me to see the same Fox News commentators who were silent about Congressmen refusing to testify against Trump under subpoena, now attack Hunter for doing the same thing.
LOL. The prosecutor has a ton of control on when such votes are taken and even whether, after they are taken, they are reported. For instance, the Grand Jury voted on the Jonbenet Ramsey case, we still don't know how that vote came out.
This particular "prosecutor" has a demonstrated record of using his position to help Brandon. (Man that sweet deal he was trying to give Hunter was sooooo sweet even a partisan judge couldn't take it). I simply notice it, then you try to give excuses for it.

The OP asserts Joe Biden has no power to use the Pardon power and that is FACTUALLY wrong. He does have that power and COULD use it.

As a former prosecutor, I feel certain that "sweet" would have been offered to anyone without a criminal record. That is why I say he is being treated worse for who he is.
A prosecutor can keep an indictment secret for a time, do you have some evidence that is the case here? I could check the date on the indictment and find out easily, but just wondering if you just said that or if you can back it up?

But that does not impact the other part of your stupid statements in your post that Biden does not have Pardon or other powers he could use in this case.
He does have options. Options we know Trump would have used already. He CHOOSES to allow the process to play out, with Trump appointee in place trusting the systems.
In almost every jurisdiction in America, if you commit a non-violent economic crime and paid back all money due, plus fines, and you have a clean record... no prior arrests, you would get the charges dismissed. Only first time, but it is happening every day in every Courthouse in this nation.
That was not the offer they made to Hunter, they offered him probation, and if he complied and did not get in trouble after a time, they then would then drop the tax charges only.
