I know its two years away, but seriously... if this is who is leading in the Republican race for the presidental nomination... Im fairly sure Obama gets reelected.......

"...I'm going to read a list of people who may be running in the Republican primary for president in 2012. After I read all the names, please tell me which candidate you would be most likely to support for the Republican nomination for president in the year 2012, or if you would support someone else. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. Former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. Texas Congressman Ron Paul. If the election were held today Huckabee would beat Obama .... he leads in that poll too something like 52% - 48%. :) Oh, I'm not getting excited because I know that a lot of things will change in 2 years.

in 2006 Obama was NOT the presumptive leader of the race for the presidency. Lets not get silly in looking at these polls.

Oh, and you'll be happy to know that Obama soundly defeats Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin in this poll.

First of all, it is a poll of 500 people. That's pretty small, considering the 100 million who will actually vote. That being said, Huck leading is not a surprise. He was right behind McCain and Romney last time around, and he has had 2 years of TV exposure with his weekly show on Fox, where he has given many people a little more insight on his pragmatic conservative views. When you consider, McCain and Romney are along the same 'moderate' line, and most Conservatives just aren't interested in nominating another moderate, that puts Huck in the drivers seat. That's actually who I supported in the primaries, and I know a LOT of conservatives in Alabama who were disappointed he was out of the race before the primaries reached our state.

The man has no concept of the 1st Amendment.

The people soundly rejected any and all social conservatism....

Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnel, AKA the witch.... both failed to understand the 1st and both lost badly in a very strong anti incumbent waive!

I wouldn't be so cocky if I was you. I can actually see Huckabee winning.

LOL... Why is it totally not a surprise that a Liberal disagrees with Huckabee on the Constitution?

ITs not a matter of agree or disagree, its a clear cut case of him pretending it does not exist.

Well you keep on clinging to Angle and O'Donnell as examples of how social conservatives were rejected, okay?

Angle was running in Nevada, not exactly The Bible Belt... and I am surprised they even let a Conservative like O'Donnell LIVE in Delaware, much less seek public office. Really some poor examples there, Jarhead.

Yes, it's a matter of Huckabee believing one thing and you believing another. I am quite sure Huckabee knows there is a 1st Amendment.

Im sure someone has pointed it out to him, he seems to choose to ignore it..

The prospect of Mike Hucabee becoming POTUS is not something I could be excited about. He has all the earmarks of being far worse then W was.
