Hillary Clinton says the Electoral College 'needs to be eliminated'

The electoral system is not fair, since it does not proportion electoral votes in relation to the population of a state. Smaller states have a greater say in the outcome.

This principle, however, is violated by the way we elect our President. Because of the Electoral College, the votes of some are worth more than the votes of others. Sometimes much more. One vote in Wyoming, for example, is worth about 3.6 votes in California. One vote in Vermont is worth 3.5 votes in Texas.

patently unfair.....a Wyoming vote ought to be worth at least ten California votes.....

It should be. All movement towards one man one vote is to be welcomed. As usual, Hillary is correct, intellectually and morally.

We do have one person one vote. It is done on the state level (with the exceptions of Maine and Nebraska). You win the state, you get it's electoral votes.

Hillary is one of the most immoral and unethical individuals to ever run for office.

it also gives a say to illegals as they are counted in the population used to determine EC votes.

Bullshit.
The Electoral College was set up at a time when over 90% of the populace was illiterate.

It is now obsolete and an insult to the common man, whose vote is truly meaningless.

The above shows you have no comprehension on the topic and that you are simply parroting what others have said.

I don't think you know what "extremism" means. That implies that something is on the fringes.

When more people vote for something, it isn't extreme.

Is that right, HOSS?

Two successive federal elections left the Nazis as the largest party in the Reichstag and anti-democratic parties in control of a majority of its seats. Under this political climate, Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor of Germany in January 1933.

Funny I never heard talk from JPP liberals about eliminating EC in 2008 or 2012. Just the talk of sore losers. Crooked Hillary knew the rules when she entered the contest

Yeah - and I never heard too many connies try to rationalize lies by saying that we shouldn't take a President's words "literally", either.

the bitch just won't let it go.

The electoral college is genius in that it keeps the huge states from overwhelming the smaller states.
It's set up just like Congress itself : 2 votes like the representatives in the Senate , and a corresponding number of vote as representatives in the house.
It's what the founders designed - a democratic Republic.

Clinton has now blamed the electoral college for her loss - I think that is reason #47 -although I am losing count

What motivated reasoning. The electoral college is retarded and has done more to damage our republic than Al-Qaeda. You only support it because it gives you power. IMO the people have no responsibility to recognize the results of an election not approved by the American people. A president who does not win the popular vote is no president at all, because power derives from the people.
