Strange. Not that this is a confirmation of the OP being false but this was mentioned on NPR this morning:

"Construction has been a constant in Seattle for years, with more cranes building apartments and offices — about 60 — than in any other U.S. city, according to The Associated Press”

Its more of a data point than confirmation but a sign that there is growth taking place.
 
Some idiot moved the Weyerhauser headquarters up to Seattle's Pioneer Square. I'm guessing they will be moving back shortly. We recently had a popular greek yogurt store move its hq here.
