I was pointing out that, before you ever made your idiotic "it's not about the money" speech, I'd made it very clear that, for me, it is about the money. And it's that way for most on the left. Check out threads about the GoFundMe scam. You won't find lefties posting arguments that if they came up with the money we should still block the wall. The attitude, instead, is basically "if they're dumb enough to waste their money on that, fine, but don't touch mine."

I understand that sometimes money will be used in ways I don't like. That's part of the social compact. If we have a fair and democratic process that leads to us pissing money away on something useless like Trump's wall, oh well. But, part of being a citizen is getting to speak up about these things, and that's what I'm doing. This is a wasteful boondoggle that most Americans oppose. The majority voted against Trump when he ran on it, the majority voted for Democrats in the House and Senate elections this year, and a recent poll says the majority don't think the wall is needed. The racists and xenophobes want to take the majority's money and spend it on this idiotic idea, anyway.
