I favor him over a southern conservative ideolouge. Though I do agree with you that I have a natural distrust of blue blooded eastern establishment plutocrats of any stripe. They have a common flaw of "What's good for us is what's good for the country". If Romney is electd his first, second, third and 385th priority will be taking care of the interest and perogatives of the upper classes and will justify that on the basis of what is good for them is what is good for you and me (which obviously isn't always the case). Having said that, integrity and competence, relevent experience and integrity are important aspects of governing responsibly and affectivly and Romney has those attributes in spades. He is a far cry from the southern conservative good ole boy corruption and incompetence as represented by the Bush II administration and if elected I think Romney would be the best Republican president since Ike.lol....so basically you favor a blue blooded, plutocratic eastern establishment Republican?......and yet, we all know you favor Obama....perhaps because those two types have so much in common.....personally, I'm a Reagan Democrat.....I don't like blue blooded, plutocratic easterners.....whether they be Republican or Democrat.......
lol.....that looks like a panic reaction to the realization that my comment was spot on.....you know the thrill of the ride is off......people voted for the first black president, but who's going to want to brag to their kids that they voted to re-elect the man who made everything worse than Bush left it......
Actually that was a good analysis by Annie.....one of the rare times I've seen that coming from a board conservative which are usually composed of right wing rants about how Libuhrals are destroying human civilzation as they know it. You are right though, her analsis could have been more concise. She was sounding like me!![]()
LOL I have no room to criticise you there. LOLYou might not know it here, but I often go on too long. You said it much nicer though.
Bush managed to get out just before the shit really hit the fan otherwise even idiots like you would have seen how bad he really was.
I will NEVER vote for Newt Gingrich. The man is a hypocrite and a slime. All you Newt supporting right wingers that wrung your fucking hands over a blow job in the oval office but who now stand and cheer for Newt as he tells CNN they should stay out of his private life because there are bigger fish to fry. all the while while you conveniently forget that when Newt called Bill Clinton morally bankrupt he too was committing adultery by fucking a congressional staffer while married to his SECOND wife who he cheated with while he was married to his FIRST wife. You right wingers are so desperate to get a queer kicking, fetus loving Jesus freak into office that you will abandon your own core principles. You are no better than the people who backed Clinton so desperately. Look in the mirror, you have become the people you so despise.
Dixie, ID, both Newt apologists. But I guess my "you republican's" was aimed at the party as a whole. And yes, the party will support Newt. Hell the people of South Carolina voted for a guy that makes their former philandering governor Mark Sanford look like a choir boy. I can be persuaded to vote for Mitt, I will not vote for Newt, and I am not voting for Obama. Johnson is my only remaining choice if Newt is the nominee. I am in a state where that bodes particularly ill for Republicans. New Mexico will probably cast 20-25% of it's general election vote for Johnson in a swing state whose 5 electoral college votes could mean the difference in a race as close as something like Gore-Bush.I don't see a lot of Newt support on this board Soc. I mean yes most Republicans on this board would vote for Newt over Obama but as far as the primary's (sp?) go I don't really see anyone here carrying Newt's water cooler.
A vote for Newt, should he become the nominee, is a vote against Obama- pure and fucking simple. Pretending that conservatives don't care about Newt's past behavior is stupid- What conservatives care about is getting the quasi socialistic incompetent boob, who is pretending to be the president of the Free world- out of office! Obummer is a shit of a president. Newt is a shit of a man- but has proven himself capable of working to change economic realities~
Now, since we know Romney will likely win more delegates- A vote for Romney will be easy for all you Newt screamers.

As a Republican I can tell you I think Newt is a smart guy with some good policy ideas who should be nowhere near the levers of power. I feel pretty confident Romney is going to win the nomination.
Now I know you have an ideological detestation of Obama but the facts are out there. Obama has done a very good job of pulling us out of the Bush shit hole. Obama has a strong track record and the incumbancy as his advantage.
Hasn't the jobless rate been reduced? Hasn't the US economy improved?

lol, dude.....Obama has done nothing except make things worse.....and anyone who thinks otherwise is the proverbial ostrich sticking his head in the sand and ignoring fact......
Obama has done nothing but make things worse?
Right...so unemployment is now worse than it was when Obama took the Oath?
That right there proves your statement is nothing but another lie spit by a sore loser.
