Yep and Gingrich while a jerk, is no more so than Clinton was before presidency, before Monica. Hell, Hillary had to give the people the green light to vote for the cheater. Eventually Gingrich got divorced, one way or another.

Agreed! Even that said, Romney still has more delegates then Newt at this time- making for some fun ahead. WA is having its first ever caucus since I have lived here on March 3rd. I am kind of excited to "caucus" here in WA- Having never done so, it will be fun to participate.
 
Finally this race is on the move!

In all, Gingrich has 25 delegates, including endorsements from Republican National Committee members who will automatically attend the convention. Romney has 33 delegates and Rick Santorum has 14.

The race for delegates is still in the early stages, providing plenty of opportunity for a candidate who gains momentum to seize the lead. It will take 1,144 delegates to win the GOP nomination. Only 62 delegates were at stake in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, combined.

Florida is up next on Jan. 31, with 50 delegates up for grabs in a winner-take-all primary. There will be six contests in February, with a total of 178 delegates at stake. Super Tuesday is March 6, with more than 400 delegates at stake in 10 states.

lets stop and think about that a minute.....Bush's profligate spending over eight years created the mess (which simultaneously occurred over the entire world).......but it was fixed by an equal amount of profligate spending by Obama in a three year period?........

Gingrich is the most intelegent of the Republican Canidates, and the best at politics.

He does not have the personality/moral cheractor/ethics/restraint to be president.

Do you think Barack Obama has cheated on his wife? As far as I can tell, he has a stable family life. Overall, it certainly seems as though liberals have superior values - and if they don't, they're more likely to be honest about it.

If the Republicans are the party of "family values," we're fucked as a society.

Oh, he's a bigger jerk IMO. One could also say that the Clinton marriage weathered the storms and is still going strong after 36 years, while Gingrich bailed on two of his three wives when the going got tough. Here's hoping Callista doesn't have the bad luck to contract a serious illness during her term as a Gingrich wife.

Really. IMO, very few life-long marriages suffer no infidelities. And almost everyone causes some pain to the person closest to them at some point in their lives. To me, Bill and Hillary appear to be two people who are life partners, best friend's, and most likely each considers the other the smartest person they know, and trust the counsel of each other above all others.

Compare that to sexual boredom after decades and oh, one or both of them touched somebody else? What does it even mean? Only they know.

But neither ever abandoned each other, especially in their hour of need. Which Newt did to two wives.

Give me a break it is not even comparable. What Edwards did is closer, but even he did not actually abandon Elizabeth. And Edwards is pretty low, but that was too low for him to go. Think about it.

I highly doubt Gringrich is smarter than Romney. He's just a big blowhard who tooted his own horn enough times that the idiots in the media started believing his own grandiose press releases about himself.

I would love to see IQ's, but I have no doubt Mitt's smarter.

Yep, the above is all true. I read Bill's book and Hillary's book and both touched on Bill's infidelities. Bill admitted he was wrong, Hillary admitted she was hurt. But each loves and admires the other immensely and they've stood together through every bad thing that happened, which is more than Newt did.

And let's not forget all the blather about Bill's blow jobs and how he wasn't impeached for sex but for lying under oath. They've conveniently forgotten about Newtie's ethics violations where he was reprimanded and fined. It's hilarious, Newtie led the charge against Jim Wright for ethics violations and then got busted for his own. And this is the man repubs want as the leader of the country.

It means he's playing funny with the numbers in order to not have to admit his comment "Obama has done nothing but make things worse" is a lie.

We saw the type of people who want Newt at the South Carolina primary. I never thought adultery and open marriages would receive a standing ovation. Looks like Republicans have a somewhat different definition of "family values". :dunno:
