Fox will shell out over a billion dollars, Dominion defamation suit given green light

the trial is not over and no decision has been made. This was just rejecting Fox's move to dismiss it. It will continue. At this point, people usually settle. That is what Trump does. However, Dominion wants its reputation back. That pushes them to go to the end.

no he does not. Dominion will now be forced to disclose the programming that flipped votes from trump to senile joe.

This dream is like the audit in Arizona that was going blow it all wide open for the Trumpers. And you clearly don't know how a trial works.

Fox News loses bid to dismiss Dominion's $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit

Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Fox News Network on Thursday lost an effort to dismiss a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems Inc, a voting machine company that says the television network defamed it by amplifying conspiracy theories about its technology.

In a written ruling, Delaware court judge Eric Davis said Dominion had sufficiently alleged it was defamed by Fox News' election coverage and the case should proceed toward trial.

hit Rupert where it hurts mo$t

They have to win a case first. Derp!

I bet this gets settled for less that Sandmann got for MSM slandering him.

Yeah ... but why not STATE court ??? If they are incorporated in dealawhere ... state court is the proper venue. Why did they not file in state court ??? And by the way ... where in new castle county are the dominion offices located ???

This is FLAGRANT JUDGE AND COURT SHOPPING

the state courts ARE in counties.......if you lose in the initial case you appeal up the line until you (possibly) get to the state SC......there are no "state" courts of original jurisdiction.....

What wouldn't they want forked over?

You're assuming that they're hiding something. They just make voting systems.

Sales information. Software source. They've got some 'splainin' to do concerning how easy it is to hack into their systems.

To sue Fox was foolhardy. Fox has the money to go through the whole trial. They just wanted to dismiss it to save time and money. Now, Dominion has opened itself up to countersuit and the discovery process. That will do a LOT more damage than what Fox ever did!

Virtually nothing that people keep repeating when it comes to potential fraud or illegal behavior is true. None of it. It has all been explored at length, and none of it has held up to investigation or the courts.
Yes. It has been explored at length. These machines are easy to hack. The manual itself contains information on how to weight votes. These machines do connect to the internet leaving them open to attack.
People just keep repeating it. None of it is true. I welcome all of the scrutiny that everything is getting. The more that comes out, the more it's clear that the only reason anyone believes there was fraud is because a pathological liar said so.
Nope. That's what these machines do. Dominion has some explaining to do. They were fools to bring this suit.

or the morons from claiming it doesn't exist......

Well, those "morons" were proven the smart ones with every failed lawsuit and every failed audit intended to cut away Biden's margin and in the end give the election to Trump. Even now the old, never proven, claims and silly
conspiracy theories linger in no-where-land.

Regarding your argument that Dominion has the burden of proving "the information" false, their testimony needs only to be that the machines gave accurate vote counts for which some of the evidence might be Trump's mandated audits, also the testimony of their own technicians. It will be a simple case for them. The burden then will shift to Fox to prove otherwise, and good luck with that.

Your "debunking" has been debunked. I'm surprised you fell for it like , Sandman, the Russian Dossier , and Hunter's laptop. On the second thought I'm not surprised you fell for it.

I'll say it again - and I'll say it at least a thousand more times:

The only reason anyone believes there was fraud is because a pathological liar said so.

None of that happened.

What did happen is that Trump took a big lead early - but, as has happened in MANY elections, votes from bigger cities got reported later on (because, you know - it takes longer to count more votes), as well as mail-in, so there were larger spikes for Biden as the night went on.

But no vote count went down. Everything has been investigated and rejected as valid. There was no coordinated fraud in 2020. In fact, Trump's own DOJ said it was the most secure election in history.

The only reason people think there was fraud is because a pathological liar said so.
trump knew the mail votes would kill him back in July. Which is why he installed a shill to destroy the USPS, and started railing against vote rigging in the summer.

Thinking back, it was kind of cute hearing the 'STOP THE COUNT' cheers across the land.

And establish precedent when they go after Rudy the Drunk and the Qanon lawyer nutter.

Absolutely.

Trump has done this his entire life. Even in politics - he declared the 2012 election a "sham," and said there was "massive fraud" in 2016 and 2020. In both cases, BEFORE and after the election.

It's all about covering every base with him. He believes he'll win, but if he doesn't, he needs a Plan B.

He doesn't care about America. He doesn't care about his voters. He doesn't care about democracy.

Trump cares about Trump. Obsessively.

And millions just believe him. Just cuz.

Especially given the grandiose nature of the bogus claims. Ought to be pretty easy to prove if they were true.
