Sorry, not buying that. The incoming President has a right to discuss policy and to set relations. I think you are stretching quite a bit to put this under the logan act.
SO you don't think the Logan Act applies to President Elects?

sure he does! He can arm twist the Russians -and this was also a pattern of 12 other countries. He does not have the right to tell Flynn to ask Russians to hold back on a reaction to sanctions... which is what Flynn is saying. Remember they likely have audio of these calls. That would be a crime.

It's obvious he was discussing policy, and asking them to hold off until he was in office,
and not react to Obama's last minute shenanigans
no. the logan act prohibits private citizens - Flynn was part of in coming POTUS administration-To you, somehow that does not violate the Logan Act?

To answer more directly... no, I do not. They have the right to discuss and prepare foreign governments for the policies and procedures they plan to take.
When is the last time someone was even prosecuted for the Logan act?
When was the last time someone was convicted under the Logan act?
I was going to write that this is a horrible day to be a Republican, but that's just any day. Trump is going down!

are you suggesting that no other President elect has talked with foreign governments prior to being sworn in? Yes he was technically still a private citizen, but at the same time he was a part of the incoming elected administration. You are trying to split hairs. There is a reason we haven't seen anyone prosecuted the Logan act in over 100 years.
So a law is not valid unless someone is prosecuted for it or convicted... Wow, Ill add that to my closing arguments, I wish they had taught me that in law school!
