in short......compromise will result in agreement regarding the GOP leadership of the House.......one thing I am certain of, expect major changes in the makeup of the Ways and Means committee.......you know those guys who committed a federal felony by releasing Trumps tax returns?.......

He’ll end up writing a book after he leaves politics in disgust about all the “knuckleheads” and how hard it was to be the “mayor of crazy town” like Boehner.

The newly seated House will have nothing to do other than refuse to fund necessary stuff.
They certainly don't expect to get any legislation passed.

We're taking a two year holiday from legislation with our split government.

Agreed he'll cash in by writing a book. IMO, becoming Speaker, even for the clown show like the Republican House, is fulfilling a dream.

My dream was becoming a pilot and that was fulfilled decades ago. I've known people whose dream was to fly "heavy iron", large jets like 747s and 767s. They'd be willing to do anything and fly for anybody to achieve that dream....and they wouldn't be happy until they do. Becoming Speaker seems to be Kevin's "heavy iron".

since McConnel passed the Omnibus, there isn't any spending bills this year, and the way DC "operates" there wont be next year in terms of a budget
But there are investigations needed into the laptop, the FBI and it's cozy big tech "subsidiary" the open border and COVID malfeasance

The press will cast that as "political gamesmanship" covering the Dems usual shit like my cat does in his box. nothing is reformed and the Swamp live on

Sadly, I think it'll be two more years of a Do-Nothing Congress while the US falls further behind the Modern World.

The most interesting part is the cat fight among Republicans about who will become Speaker.

He's sold his soul and traded all of his horses and still doesn't have the votes because the Republican House margin is so narrow: 222 Republicans with 218 votes to become Speaker IIRC.

I doubt he can move the MAGAts so his next effort will be garnering Democrat votes through similar horse-trading. That requires the consent of a majority of Republicans. What do you think those deals will be all about?* LOL


*throwing the MAGAts and 1/6 supporters to the DOJ.
