Far right holding out on McCarthy!

The far right is trying to hold out on letting Kevin McCarthy become speaker of the house.

It looks to me like the radicals will cave, and McCarthy will become leader, he may wish he had not.

A slight correction. The "far right" = the radicals. Agreed they'll cave and mainstream Republicans will have McCarthy as Speaker...after Kevin signs away the rest of his soul to them.

No legislation of any kind will be passed under McCarthy or any other GOP house speaker?!! It will be worthless investigations that will go nowhere, at the cost to taxpayers?!! If the GOP lead house has nothing to show for in two years, they will lose the house in 2024?!!

I would absolutely love a Republican family fight in Congress, but I don't think those crackheads have a choice but to cave.

We shall see. I wouldn't put anything past the radicals. Maybe they'll cause a scene for a few days or a week. I think ultimately, though, they'll cave.

I assume that everyone in Congress hates me and is willing to fuck me until/unless they show otherwise.

These are generally very low quality people.

Neither of which are national issues.

Virginia discovered it had plenty of money to work on infrastructure of any sort of national interest (highways) and has been busy beavers fixing bridges etc. Schools are local and with declining enrollments, we can just shutter the shittier ones and have more $ for the rest.

So the House will really have nothing better to do than investigate democrat corruption ! Thats good as it will keep them really really busy !

Disagreed. It affects how the United States is able to compete with other nations in the world.
