That has been a lesson to me that I will take to heart in many ways having nothing to do with politics. You may not get what you want today, but don't get upset, keep going, plan, and tomorrow you will get something way better.

Because she's a very strong advocate for people. She's an honest to goodness liberal. And she's a woman. I am always thrilled to find a strong, smart woman in politics. Don't think I am kidding - I don't expect your state to be her last stop.

Let me see if I have this right. Rana and I shouldn't be allowed to donate five dollars to Warren, but it's ok for Sheldon Adelson (of Nevada) to donate 70 million (est) to Romney?

Are you saying corporations are people (via Citizens United) but people aren't people?????

I was reading the comment section of a San Francisco Chronicle article about her and a good number of posters were calling for her to run for President in 2016.

You are missing his point dude. He's arguing people from out of state shouldn't be able to contribute to a state race. He's not talking about a national campaign.

a presidents job is in part to represent the entire nation. a senators job is to represent their own state.

I contributed to the Democratic Party, which in turn donated to her and several other candidates. I also contributed to Emily's list, and the Libertarian Party. All national organizations.

No, I'm not missing any point. I'm supporting the platform of these candidates, just as Adelson is. Not only do I want my representative to represent my ideals, I want other to too. How is that any different than the billions rounded up by the Koch Brothers and Karl Rove and shipped into states to support Republican candidates?
