Education and degrees?

Evidence that I was typing on my phone while also talking on the office phone.

receiving a legitimate college degree is prima facie evidence of someone having been educated.... does that mean that a degree holder is WELL educated? not necessarily.

So the answer is that having the degree is evidence of an education, therefore the two are not seperable. You cannot have a College degree and NOT be educated. Yes, you can still be ignorant, but you will be educated.

Jarod thinks they are two entirely different things.

The real question is; can one have a college degree and not be educated? Jarod believes they are TWO different things.

Personally I believe one can have a college degree and not be educated AND one can be educated and not have a college degree.

I think it is further evidence that you are a dunce. Turning a dullard claim in one thread into a dullard claim on a new thread while not being able to communicate it coherently, are evidence of a dunce.

You prove my claim; a degree is evidence of an education, but not a substitute for intelligence.

. Funny nobody agrees w you!

Sorry dunce; the two are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps you need to look at the definition of "education".

Now you can make the argument that someone can be successful and intelligent without an education; that is factual. But you cannot assert that one can have a degree and not be educated. Nor can you claim the two are mutually exclusive as you have done; that's just stupid.

low self esteemed individuals are fond of touting their education credentials. its the intellectual form of bullying.

That is true to a certain extent; but that is not what this is about. This topic carried over by the "dunce", was his claim that Megan Kelly was uneducated.

education is not synonymous with intelligence or wisdom.

Dear dunce; yes they are. But you have the intellectual capacity of a centipede and do not comprehend how utterly stupid you appear.

So why start a thread to remove any and all doubt you are a dunce?

Two left-wing ones - Harry Pollitt, Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain, whom I met when I was eight, and (I think) Tony Cliff of the Socialist Workers' Party (as I recollect, the British arrested him in Palestine before he could complete his finals). Either could have wiped out intellectually anyone posting here, including me.

Another leftist dimwit who doesn't comprehend the definition of "education". Further proof that leftist "read," yet they do not have the capacity to "comprehend."

I never met any of these guys, but none of them graduated from college:

George Washington (The death of his father ended Washington's formal schooling)
Andrew Jackson
Martin Van Buren
William Henry Harrison (attended college but never received a degree)
Zachary Taylor
Millard Fillmore (founded the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York)
Abraham Lincoln (had only about a year of formal schooling of any kind)
Andrew Johnson
Grover Cleveland
William McKinley (attended Allegheny College and Albany Law School but did not receive degrees)
Harry S. Truman (went to business college and law school but did not receive a degree)

The question was; can one have a College degree, and not be educated?
