They've been self-recognized for some years , of course.

How does the self-determination of these states affect us ? It doesn't. Not at all. Anybody telling us that it does is lying. Besides, we actively oppose self-determination in the Middle East and thousands of us have died opposing it. We actually pay many states to suppress self-determination in their populations and we scorn international law in order to support the fascists' occupation of Palestine. We are, in fact, super-hypocrites .

Let's remember that the legitimate government of Ukraine was overthrown by means of a pro-NATO coup in which many Ukranians died. Donetsk and Luhansk are the strongholds of those Ukranians who opposed the coup. As such they are the defenders of Ukranian democracy, not the puppet government that went to the polls without them.

So let's wish them good fortune in their new-found independence and urge the anti-Russian Ukranians to leave them in peace, accept that their pro-NATO ambitions have split and diminished their real-estate- as was repeatedly predicted- and not let their infidelity drag us into any violent conflict.

Biden has succeeded in having Nord Stream 2 terminated- for now. Leave it at that.

If they are independent today, they wont be for long. They will soon be Russian puppets.

Once Putin puts his false flag in place, and advances, anatta will immediately pivot to "they forced him to do it by... (insert whatever propaganda story Putin comes up with here)". Which one of this fabulous portmanteau are performing better for their paycheck?
 
So- the Russians will now install a string of military bases across the Donbass to discourage any Ukrainian attempt to overrun the two new Republics.
This manoeuvre will protect millions of civilians from the ongoing shelling of the past eight years.

NATO should have simply declared, in 2014 , that Ukraine could not be a member. After all, the US doesn't really give a hoot about self-determination, as can be seen in Palestine.

I didnt say Putin wont go further. I said if he does it's a major blunder on his part at this time.
Russians are the worlds best chess players. Putin will wait for the counter-moves -if he moves rashly past LDNR he's gonna pay a price from a hostile resistance
