Does Bernie still have a chance?

Explain the math to me? How can winning California save Sanders chances? Remember California is a proportional State.

It changes the trajectory dramatically and if the DNA feels that it places too much risk of a loss in novenber, they will put up someone more likely to prevail.
Shouldn't count on rules prevailing over fear.

I wish, but it aint going to happen... despite what Rush Linberger says.

None of those mean there will be an insurrection at the Convention.

Sanders himself has said he is against Superdelegates overturning the will of the majority of the voters.

Whether he is against it or not is immaterial.
Will he refuse the nomination ? Kinda doubt he would considering he's been working pretty hard to get it.

So being the good right-winger I am I was listening to my KPFA Berkeley Free Speech Radio today and the topic was Bernie and that he still has a chance. They did say MSNBC told some Bernie people they were prepared to call the race on the 6th or the 7th for Hillary before voting had been completed in California. And they acknowledged it would probably suppress voting.

On Facebook or rare occasions like this I still read/listen to passionate Bernie supporters who haven't given up and want to fight this all the way to the convention. Clearly this board is different as several people said they support Bernie but don't seem to care much about him (in terms of wanting him to win or his supposed revolution).
Id say that's not a fair assessment at all. I'd say the Bernie supporters on here have reasonably managed their expectations.

I like Bernie a lot. I part ways with him on economic policy though I seriously doubt Bernies socialism could do as much damage to this nation as you supply spiders have.

On most other issues, including foreign policy, domestic policy, science, elections, social issues Bernie is spot on ahead of the Knuckle Draggers who want to drag this nation, kicking and screaming, back to the 19th century.

Okay, let me put it this way...

How many of you Hillary Haters on this thread are willing to put your money where your mouth is and actually stake your reputation by predicting that Sanders will upend HRC and get the nomination?

You are all about throwing shade, but I doubt you will come right out and predict it!

I haven't paid attention. These people were passionate though on the radio today. The opposite of this board.
Many are young, do not understand well the political process, have unrealistic expectatations. They seriously undermine Bernies ability to influence party politics, and with the coalition he's built, it's considerable. They need to chill the hell out.

true. but more nuanced he said the supers should follow the will of the people state by state..
I think it was WV (?) where he won almost all the elected delegates, but came out even with Hillary because almost all the supers went with her.

Of course this is not the only ex.

You can read my OP. KPFA spoke on it yesterday. I follow my left wing Bernie supporting friends on Facebook that talk about this stuff. These are the people down with Bernie.

Long run Bernie doesn't give a damn about the democratic party, and (rightly)holds most of the establishment in contempt.
They've consistently screwed him, and told him to sit down and STFU and get onboard the corporate express

All the CA politicians -every damn one - has told him to unify (quit campaigning) before the vote even happens..

He's 74, and been out of the mainstram until the MS of the Dem's found him
and he really dislikes Wasserman-Schultz,and the Clintonistas in general.

So any predictions?

I am confident in mine, I gave it long ago.... HRC will be the Democratic nominee.

you had it correct before the primarys even started.
Only the enthusiasm and message (people power) of Bernie got him this far.
He was written off by the press and the establishment set up the corrupted process that should have doomed him long ago.

Well I'm sure Bernie would like that but these are primaries and caucuses and not elections. The parties have no obligation to do as he suggest and, in fact, his claim that primaries and caucuses should reflect the will of the people is spurious reasoning as the restrictions the parties place on political primaries and caucuses mean they absolutely cannot reflect the will of the people. Bernie has failed to build a political base with party leaders and thus the disparity in super delegates. That's Bernies fault and not the political process.
