It appears the electric car guy is losing friends. So sad.

Independents don't have the balls to take sides.
They should NEVER be allowed to vote in Democratic or Republican Party primaries.
Only registered party members have any business voting in primaries.
This is yet another fuckup in the way America does things.

I agree. And, the parties should pay for their primary elections don't you think?

"Independent" is my party, too. Looks like my party is the majority party.

Winding 336 miles through Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties, the Central Arizona Project supplies water from the Colorado River to 80 percent of the state’s population and 40 percent of its farmlands. A drought has prompted the U.S. Department of Interior to implement a Tier-1 shortage for the first time, which will cut 18 percent of Arizona’s water supply from the Colorado River. But during Arizona’s legislative session thus far, bills to address the water shortage have been overshadowed by the 140 bills aimed at preventing so-called election fraud.
Arizona residents like Perri Benemelis, a white 61-year-old water policy analyst, are tired of “election fraud” talk, and many are turning away from the Republican and Democratic parties and registering or identifying as independents
.

Why should independents be disillusioned with democrats considering democrats have accomplished far more than useless independents and seditious repukes combined?

U.S. economic performance under Democratic and Republican presidents

Historically, the United States economy has performed better on average under the administration of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents since World War II. The reasons for this are debated, and the observation applies to economic variables including job creation, GDP growth, and stock market returns. The unemployment rate has fallen on average under Democratic presidents, while it has risen on average under Republican presidents. Budget deficits relative to the size of the economy were lower on average for Democratic presidents.[1][2] Ten of the 11 U.S. recessions between 1953 and 2020 began under Republican presidents.[3]

I’ve never heard that. Curious what states allow that.
The lizard doesn't know what he is talking about. Its either one or the other but not both. You don't have to be registered for a party to vote in that party's primary but you can't vote in two party primaries at the same time. In Texas where the lizard is from you don't register for a party at all.

In Texas we don't allow people to register for a particular party.

Ok, that makes more sense. I can’t imagine being able to walk into a booth and say “I’d like a Democratic and Republican primary ballot please” and being able to vote in both. (And he said this was occurring in multiple states.)

What do they mean by "independent"? Is that someone who regularly votes but is not registered with either the (D)s or the (R)s?

I'm not registered with either party and never will be. Yet I definitely lean left on most issues.
