This war isn't about NATO expansion. Putin meekly accepted Finland's ascension into NATO and has barely complained about it in months. And Finland is right on the doorstep of Vlad's hometown, St Petersburg .

This war is about Russian imperialism. Putin believes Ukraine belongs to Russia and that Moscow is, was, and always will be the ruler of all the East Slavs.

Most Americans, and certainly all MAGA dunces are unaware that Putin openly points to the 300 year old Pereyaslav agreement, in which the Ukranian cossacks submitted to the authority of Moscow to acquire their help in defeating the Poles, as the final say on the supposed illegitimatacy of Ukranian sovereignty.
