DeSantis’ office hits back after class action suit from migrants, reveals 'consent fo

The Spanish version is the one signed. That's the one that counts.

Ah....so where in the Spanish version does it say "I agree to hold the benefactor or its designated representatives harmless of all liability arising out of or in any way relating to any injuries and damages that may occur during the agreed transport to locations outside of Texas until the final destination of Massachusetts"?

It doesn't say that at all.

In fact, that entire paragraph is omitted from the Spanish version.

DeSantis releasing that consent form was a gigantic mistake because anyone can see the English version is different from the Spanish version, starting with the fact that the entire paragraph about Massachusetts was omitted.

What a fucking loser you are.

It says that in the second paragraph, except "Massachusetts" was changed to "sanctuary state" (estado santuario). And, yes I read Spanish fairly well, and can speak it a bit, but I'm better at reading it.

It also has two blanks, "Lugar de salida" (place of departure), and "Lugar de llegada" (place of arrival) where the abbreviations for Texas (TX) and Massachusetts (MA) are clearly marked on the form.

It helps to have the entire form shown...

It says that in the second paragraph, except "Massachusetts" was changed to "sanctuary state" (estado santuario).

So it's not the same form.

Two different forms, the second of which doesn't specify MA.

Why is the Spanish form different from the English one, and why doesn't the Spanish one say that MA is the destination like it says in the English one?

So it's not the same form.

Two different forms, the second of which doesn't specify MA.

It doesn't fucking matter! The one in Spanish is the only one that counts because it was the one used and signed. The unsigned English version is irrelevant!

Marked by the person signing it, not by the officials.

So deception, then.

So deception, then.

Prove that. It could have been the official that put in the state abbreviations, and likely was. But, in any case it clearly shows leaving Texas and arriving in Massachusetts.

OK but again, the Spanish form does not mention MA at all and it is markedly different from the English language form.

Which part of IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER, BECAUSE THE ENGLISH VERSION ISN'T BEING USED don't you get? The Spanish version is what counts because that's what was signed.

Prove that.

Well, first off, there's the witnesses:

Migrants on Martha's Vineyard flight say they were told they were going to Boston
https://www.npr.org/2022/09/15/1123109768/migrants-sent-to-marthas-vineyard

Then there's the fact that the Spanish version of the doc does not match the English version, and deliberately omits the bit about Massachusetts.

Why isn't the Spanish version the same as the English version? Because of the intent to deceive the Spanish speakers.

Let me clarify this further. If the English version was a recipe for apple strudel, it wouldn't matter because the Spanish version was the only one that was filled out and signed. The Spanish version is the contract. The English version is irrelevant.

They got anything in writing to prove that? If not, it doesn't count when you have a written contract.

Ok, but then you have to account for the fact that the Spanish language form doesn't mention MA at all, and the only reference to it is (maybe) what the person who signed it put in there, but how would they know what to put in there unless they were told?

Venezuelans don't know the postal abbreviation for Massachusetts, and why would they?

The Spanish language form is the proof because it is markedly different from the English one and Nazis are banking on the fact that people don't speak Spanish.

Why release both versions unless you're a fucking moron, which DeSantis is?

Then they should ask before signing a contract, shouldn't they? Caveat emptor...

We’ll, I’d love to see those contracts and what they actually signed. The class action suit should reveal all of that. Discovery should be illuminating.
