Currently the U.S. is the top oil producer in the world.

Why wont Big Oil keep more of their production here? Its a simple answer to our current situation

you keep contradicting yourself.....what good is keeping it here if we don't have enough refineries.....sell crude to set off the cost of buying refined fuels........

Forecast Heat, ‘Stumbling’ Production Lift Natural Gas Futures Early
Declining production estimates and indications of stronger heat toward the middle of the month in the latest forecasts helped send natural gas futures sharply higher in early trading Monday. The July Nymex contract was up 46.0 cents to $8.983/MMBtu at around 8:45 a.m. ET.

The July contract was testing the psychologically significant $9 mark in early trading, boosted by domestic production levels that were “stumbling” in the latest estimates and forecasts showing “intensifying heat” by the middle of the month, according to EBW Analytics Group.

Where has current production be limited?

read Biden'a executive orders from January, 2021.......they've been linked on this board often enough that you should be aware of what the PastyFaced Pedophile did in his effort to fulfill his campaign promise to shut down the oil industry by now.......

obviously you haven't spent any time thinking of the consequences of what you DID say.......how do you propose to make oil companies keep more of their oil in the US?......

I dont propose we make them do anything, just hope/wish that they make decisions in favor of the American people, and not solely those made for their pocketbooks, and shareholders.

yes.

we should build more refineries.

I would actually approve of the government invoking the defense production act to make it happen.

Im not a libertarian "anarchist" (full on corporatist).

Chevron CEO Mike Wirth says he does not expect another oil refinery to be built in the U.S. ever again, pointing to decades of federal government policies as the reason why.

"There hasn’t been a refinery built in this country since the 1970s," Wirth said at Bernstein's Strategic Decisions Conference this week, when asked about the prospect of new capacity being added in the Gulf of Mexico. "I personally don’t believe there will be a new petroleum refinery ever built in this country again."

Since when did a President tell a private company how to run their business. However as it is, our refineries are running at full capacity. We cannot refine any additional oil.
since Biden was sworn into office.......so tell us....what the fuck was the fuckwit thinking?......

actually I'm bitching about what the PastyFaced Pedophile has done to make them go up........it does no good just to bitch about how high they are.......we need to remember who MADE them high.......

Come on sweetheart, this President did little if nothing to raise oil prices. In fact this administration has signed more leases than any president in the past 10-15 years

First of all, the lease were cancelled due to lack of interest in the locations. Secondly, that would have zero impact on todays oil prices, and finally:

I can't help it you are ignorant.....cancelling leases for two years has something to do with production and anyone with a brain realizes it.......
