Idiot, where does the 1st limit its restriction to only those "within our jurisdiction"?

14th Amendment, with a jurisdictional limit.

Its our call, and must be done within the restrictions of OUR Constitution. That means it cannot be done in a way that discriminates against people based on religion.

Does that mean that our second amendment crosses borders?
 
You should pick up a book on constitutional law and thinking of the founding fathers regarding God given rights.

We don't control what any other people do outside the US...OUR jurisdiction does not mean 'the world'.....

IF you are IN THIS COUNTRY, you get the benefits of living under our laws and Constitution....outside the US, our Constitution is meaningless.....

We are not stopping anyone from practicing their religion anywhere in the world....or stopping them from saying whatever they want to say....or carrying the weapons they desire....

I do not know of an enumerated right to self-defense, we do however have constitutionally protected rights to bear arms.

It would be prohibited because we can't legislate what any Mexican citizen can or cannot do.....or any citizen in any country.....you're very stupid for a lawyer.....

We can't give people in another country freedom of religion, or give them the right to bear arms, nor any other rights.....

What the United States can do is refrain from making any laws prohibiting the free exercise of Religion, in Nebraska and in Cambodia!
 
BTW, a temporary suspension of visas is a constitutional action that I can see supported with current statutes. Whereas it could be constitutionally argued that much of the power granted to our goverrnment with Homeland Security is not.

Yet... 66% of Republicans voting in last nights primary believe that Congress shall make a law prohibiting Muslims from entering the country.

Seriously? This is what is wrong with the Republican party. If they can get rid of these xenophobic, terrified ninnies, they would be a respectable group capable of helping to run our nation. As long as they have this cancer they remain second class Americans incapable of grasping American values and founding ideals. I respect the Republican argument on economics, the Republican argument on how to deal with special interests, with how to create an atmosphere that will help businesses prosper, about small government... but when they use this argument to hide a true desire to exclude people they are afraid of, in a way that is totally unconstitutional, I lose complete respect for them....
