The Founding Father's were intellectuals.
Too bad the USA especially in the Southern states imported too much of the trash of the British Isles as Indentured Servants coming from England, Scotland & Ireland.
I really wonder how superior the South would've been if it had seceded.
It seems the key to USA success largely comes from Northern groups, Jews, Poles, Irish Catholics , English Anglicans, Italians, German Lutherans, Scottish Presbyterians, Greeks, Ukrainians, and many more.
Baptists tend to be a sh1tstain of America.
My view is this: The confederate flag is an ugly symbol of racism and treason. I'd wish it was not popularized
but should be the artifact that it is, just in disuse, forgotten except in museums.
On the other hand, banning it is falling into a trap of the retarded racist right. I'd prefer in most things
to not spend time doing symbolic things that anger the know-nothings, but spend the capital on substantive stuff,
the kind that matters, like food, war and peace, shelter, jobs and wages, healthcare.
In other words, it's like a cross on a federal land. Sure its wrong, but its low on my list of things and gives
the lunatic fringe right something dumb to get them to the polls. If they are going to hate me anyway,
hate me for raising the minimum wage, fighting covid, or fighting global warming, not for taking away their god given right to express stupidity or racism.
