Confederate flag banned from being sold or displayed on state property in New York

Disagreed, but even if it was, it's still far less than yours. :)

Let's regroup and reevaluate:

1) Do you support the right of Americans to buy, sell and display Confederate flags and regalia?
2) Do you consider anyone who does so to be a racist asshole without exception?
3) Do you consider Confederate flags to be equal to Nazi flags?

Unrelated, but are you UK citizen still in the UK or living in the US?

Man, you just can't stand being proven wrong, can ya? The chronology of the posts clearly shows you being insipidly stubborn regarding Gardners false subject title. Here's How I squared him finally; https://www.justplainpolitics.com/s...te-property-in-New-York&p=4125828#post4125828

That's it....period. You want to fly the Confederate flag on your car or on your front lawn, go right ahead....just don't whine about the subsequent consequences of your actions. I say the latter in references to any town or city ordinances that may affect your actions. Most folk have no problem with certain laws providing they're not personally affected. When that happens, all hell breaks loose. See, you have the right to free speech....but that right does not shield you from the consequences of your actions (public disturbance, inciting to riot, slander, etc.)

And as I previously explained (but you didnt' or refused to understand), I'm sick and tired of some yahoo trying to divorce the racist history of slavery from the core of the Confederacy. Take note of one historical example; https://www.battlefields.org/learn/primary-sources/declaration-causes-seceding-states

Even after the Confederacy got it's ass whupped, slavery's child Jim Crow carried on for damn near another century. So any joker thinking otherwise is either ignorant of the facts or willfully ignorant. The latter makes them defacto bigots, as indifference to the racist core of the Confederacy is contemptable. A logical, conclusive fact whether you agree or not.

Dude, all you had to do was say No, Yes and Yes. You didn't have to explain.

Just covering the bases so the objective reader knows EXACTLY where I stand, and not to confuse that stance with any innuendo, allegation or intent set up by your response.

So if you've got nothing else, I'd say we're done here.

Outfucking standing.

Outfucking standing.

Agreed! The ol' "might makes right" strategy is a favorite of the Democrats.

The good news is that I've lost a lot of my high freq hearing and, despite my wife's insistence, refuse a hearing aid because I really don't want to hear all of that high-pitched screaming on the news.

That's good and I appreciate it, but adding the simple "yes" or "no" then amplifying your answer looks better. More direct. More professional.

That's if you want to persuade me. If you just want to rant, then you're fine the way you are. :)

I don't know what the man is about, but he sure as hell has a hard time conceding a point in a printed medium. Hopefully he's learned his lesson from our exchanges.

What point are you whining about? Are you conflating me with people who demand their right to fly a Nazi flag through Skokie, a neighborhood known for Holocaust survivors, Illinois? You know, like the one the ACLU defended?** I have never been and never will be a fucking Nazi or White Supremacist supporter. Nazism isn't part of our national history, the birth and growth of our nation, every painful inch, is certainly history worth teaching if for nothing else than George Santayana's learning history quote. You are seeking to eradicate our nation's history like it was supporting Nazism as verified by your earlier reply.

In 1978, the ACLU took a controversial stand for free speech by defending a neo-Nazi group that wanted to march through the Chicago suburb of Skokie , where many Holocaust survivors lived. The notoriety of the case caused some ACLU members to resign, but to many others the case has come to represent the ACLU's unwavering commitment to principle. In fact, many of the laws the ACLU cited to defend the group's right to free speech and assembly were the same laws it had invoked during the Civil Rights era, when Southern cities tried to shut down civil rights marches with similar claims about the violence and disruption the protests would cause. Although the ACLU prevailed in its free speech arguments, the neo-Nazi group never marched through Skokie, instead agreeing to stage a rally at Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago.

Nazis killed a lot if Poles & Americans.

Yet, I'm not particularly offended if somebody has Swastika emblems.

The Union Jack British flag killed a lot of Irish & Americans.

Yet, I'm not particularly offended if someone has Union Jack emblems.

Soviets killed a lot of Poles & Americans indirectly.

Yet, I'm not particularly offended if someone has Hammer & Sickle emblems.

How come a Mick Polak American like me isn't particularly offended?

You need to grow a pair.

Emblems & Flags aren't particularly offensive.

It's actually a good way to identify people & stay away.

Pay attention, toodles. This is how I set your boy Gardner straight https://www.justplainpolitics.com/s...te-property-in-New-York&p=4125828#post4125828

Your doubling down on your self aggrandizing BS convinces only the person you see in the mirror and like minded right wing trolls like yourself. The objective, rational reader knows better. Carry on.

You remind me if that Black guy who I told Blacks were good dancers.

He got hyper sensitive about it. Saying thats offensive bro in a whimpering voice.

Well, imagine if I told him a dumb Negrow joke about a bunch of Dumb Negrows being too dumb to change a light bulb.

He would've had a heart attack.

Against Poles it's cool though.

In fact usually not too offensive to Polish Americans some Poles tell them.

Although I disagree it is pretty offensive.

But, I certainly don't want it banished as hate crime hate speech.
I believe
In the 1st amendment freedom of speech.

My good man, you can't clean this up. You were wrong...proven wrong factually, logically and rationally. You can't just flat out concede to that and are trying to save face. I know I can't persuade the insipidly stubborn...I just debate the issue to it's logical conclusion. The objective readers see the obvious flaws in a painfully obvious bad position.

YOU don't dictate how I post/respond, as I don't dictate to you how to post/respond. That complaint is a dodge by you to avoid admitting error. Whatever, you can have the last predictable retort.....Peace out, I'm off to party!

Cut the BS, will ya please. You throw the kitchen sink in to divert from the original point of contention where you were proven wrong. You keep falsely accusing me of things I did not say. I was most direct and specific in what I posted...you can't logically or factually defend your position, so you blow smoke. The chronology of the posts shows your folly with a simple mouse clik on the arrows for review. You're just stubborn.

We've done this dance, and you stumbled several times. I leave you with the predictable retorts..I'm done here and off to party. Peace out!

You need to get educated beyond your birthday. History shows that once you let the type of mindset revealed in Confederate flag waving go on without confrontation...it gains strength....especially in hard economic times. This is why Germany has a zero tolerance for this type of BS. They know better than most, and don't apologize for their actions.

I just pointed out the lie that was in the subject title of this thread. TFB if people don't like it, but they can't refute it.

Oh and FYI, black folk in America has LONG been able to identify this mindset without a flag....it usually manifests in words or deeds, or can be identified by location (i.e., red lined neighborhoods).

Not really.
German Nazis use the ban of the Swastika to say why not the Soviet Hammer & Sickle or British Union Jack which arguably each killed more than Nazi Germany.

As for Holocaust Denial laws, the Nazis just say see they're hidding something.

Besides, with the rise somewhat of AfD in Germany.

I think your point is kind of moot.
It's clearly not that effective, if at all.

It leads to Authorarianism tit for tat with one measure of limiting freedom by force is met by force by the other side.

Do you think Social media censorship is working against the Right Wing!?

It seems to just enrage us more.

A lot of Right Wingers on this very forum want to have Trump micromanage Social Media for freedom of speech.

Now maybe you'll understand tit for tat Authoritarianism.
