It's clear that Trump asked Comey to halt the investigation. It's clear he overstepped all bounds of propriety by insisting on meeting Comey in private. As well as trying to coerce Comey into some sort of patronage relationship.

But it represents yet another hit to Trump's credibility. He railed against Hillary for the tarmac meeting and stuff like this during the campaign. The hypocrisy, arrogance & sense of entitlement are so profound w/ him, and his attempts to get Comey to drop the probe only add to suspicion about it.
