Comey testimony, Alright, let's take bets now

Who said there was evidence?

Though it was kind of sketchy. I know you have trouble thinking about Trump objectively, but the 'loyalty' bit may well have been Trump's attempt to get Comey to publicly state that Trump wasn't under investigation.

It's entirely plausible [arguably, it's the best explanation since it would be pretty brazen for Trump to pressure Comey stop the investigation that in that manner] AND it wouldn't amount to obstruction.

I haven't heard anything so far that I think rises to the level of "obstruction."

But completely inappropriate behavior? Absolutely. You really do some gymnastics w/ the response above. Hold Trump to the same standard you held Hillary to.

I mean, imagine Hillary saying "I expect loyalty," and trying to encourage the FBI director to drop an investigation...

That would be a win for the media.

There's another aspect that you should consider. These hearings can go in unanticipated directions. There's lots of questions Comey should be asked---and not all of them have to do with Trump. Someone of us would like to know more about the unmaskings and the extent of Comey's knowledge on it.
Of course Republicans want this to be about unmaskings. The problem for you, is that when authorities read text from phone taps of various Russians, and mention of 'back door avenues to Putin', etc. are discussed an unmasking is not only required, but not even open to scrutiny.

What you are hoping for, is to find out who leaked the unmasked info. That was done by trump staffers who realize that their boss is a danger to the country.

I think you're forgetting about Nunes.

Asking Comey to publicly state that you're [Trump] aren't under investigation is not obstruction or even anything close to it.

All of DC, the lame stream media and lefties are all a dither that Comey is going to dish some dirt on Trump that is finally going to lead to impeachment.

Well I officially predict that his testimony will be one big fat

It won't be worth shit. And to back up my claims, I am willing to make a ban bet with anyone. So who has the balls? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I don't know, rat dung? Will it be bigger than Benghazi? lol

When President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on May 9, one line in his letter stuck out as odd: “I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation.”
^ true,, remember all the crap Trump was malking this up? He was NOT.

Also Comey says he did not feel he was being pressured to stop the investigation.
He SPECIFIC raised this point. He took it as "Flynn is a good guy" and Comey agreed.
It was Trump trying to put a good word in for Flynn, NT obsrtuctong

Also no evidence of Russian collusion..

The whole fraking thing is a giant nothing burger. No Collusion, no obstruction, not a subject of the FBI's Intelligence investigation

I seem to recall more than a few posters claiming this testimony, his notes, etc, were going to lead to a huge cover-up. The POTUS asking him to stop the investigation.

You have a dream.

Don't forget, they are still shining a spotlight up Kushner's ass.

And we don't know what they'll find yet.

I agree Trump acts like a bull in a china shop when it comes to FBI independence.
It's because he is a CEO -not a lawyer, andnot a professional politician.

He's used to "Your fired", because that's how companies run. Trump thinks a Unitary president is the same model
It was for many years, but now there are floating islands of independent government in the executive branch

whatever..I expect to find some financial improprieties -but recall Kushner also has 2x asked to testify.

Same with Manafort.. financial improprieties.. NOT collusions.

The WORST: "this is another watergate" from the Dems and Russiaphobes.

there was never any crime for even a special prosecutor, much less all these investigation

All you have is Comeys word. Is he really credible to you?

All are credible compared to Douchebag Donald.

That being said, huge nothing burger. I still think that everytime Dems say Russia, or collusion, or Russian collusion, that it diminishes their image before the public, and Douchebag Donald does a good job at egging them on.

'I hope you can see your way clear to letting the Flynn thing go'.

Nothing burger?

That's not obstruction. Besides, Comey already said under oath back in May that " NO ONE has ever tried to improperly influence an investigation" with him.

Criminal obstruction would be when Barry, Loretta, Hillary and Bubba cooked up the meeting on the tarmac so that Loretta could recuse herself and Comey could usurp Loretta's job by giving a pass to crooked Hillary.

I agree. The irony is that Trump and Comey are both in the 'executive'. Trump's his boss and would actually have every right to tell him to drop it. But, he didn't......he only asked questions like, (paraphrasing here) "Is there some way to get past this or bring it to an end?"
