Christmas is racist

:)

I don't 'hate' Christians. Just pointing out their tendency to re-write history. They love to take over things and claim it as 'theirs'.

Originally, 'In God We Trust' was never on our coinage. Then, thanks to the Jesus Freaks, it was placed on our currency.
Originally, the Pledge of Allegiance didn't have 'Under God' in it. Thanks to the Jesus Freaks, now it does.

The Jesus Freaks live in an imaginary world where there are Man-Gods, Angels, Saints, and Demons ... AND ... people can talk to these imaginary entities (through prayer). Now, most people on the Planet could care less what these people do, along with ME. The PROBLEM is ... they try to ram their Mythology down the throats of everyone else.

Let me repeat that: "They try to ram their Mythology down the throats of everyone else". Did you grasp that?

No one is interested in seeing their Crosses on every mountain top. Do you want to see Call to Prayer minarets on every street corner? Yeah, me neither.
No one is interested in having the Ten Commandments in front of every Courthouse. Do you want to see Mohammad holding a Koran in front of every Courthouse? Yeah, me neither.
No one is interested in having 'Prayer' in School, a Learning Center. Do you want kids bringing Prayer Rugs to Learning Centers? Yeah, me neither.

Did ANY of that register?

I want ME and my KIDS to live in REALITY.
I'm not interested in Moses and his "We're the Chosen People" and his "God gave us this Land" bullshit line.
I'm not interested in "My name is Jesus, and I'm a Man-God" tale.
I'm not interested in Allah and his Prophet Mohammad with their "Women are Cows, so they must wear these Cow Blankets" idiocy.
Fuck That Shit!

If the Sun is the Center of the Solar System, don't keep telling me the Earth is the Center of the Universe. I'm not interested in a bunch of dumb-ass shit.

Did any of that help, RB?

And this tirade doesn't portray a hatred for Christians or Christianity? You are fooling no one.

:)

If it's a tirade, it's a tirade about Religious Cults.
Simple Question; Do you want your children indoctrinated into the Muslim Religion?

When have I stated I wanted ANYONE "indoctrinated" into ANY religion?
I just question your hatred of Christians and Christianity. You seem to focus on it.
Oh, and what about the Masons...?

The Christians seem to be the largest religious Cult in this part of the Planet. If it was a different religious Cult, i would be making a similar complaint. I'm interested in Living in Reality, NOT some Mythical World.

The Masons accept everyone, they call the Creator: 'The Great Architect'. They AREN'T demanding 'Masonry' in every School, every Courthouse, and every Mountain Top.

Aren't you from Pennsylvania? William Penn founded Pennsylvania on the idea of 'Religious Freedom'. Penn was persecuted in England because he converted to Quakerism and spoke against the Church of England. He was thrown in jail a number of times. If you believe in Penn's Ideas, then you should have no problem living side by side with Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and the rest. And, when you go to Court, you want to be tried using American Law, ... NOT some religious cult law. And when you (or your kids) go to school, you want them taught reason, logic, science, NOT some religious cult mythology.

See, that's what I want too.

What makes you think I have a problem living "side by side with Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and the rest"? If they mean me no harm, I'm fine.
You can live in whatever world you chose. Why do you find it necessary to condemn me for living in mine? How do I affect you're "reality"?
As for the Masons, you are not very knowledgeable. Quit while you're ahead (not that you are anyway).

:) Good. I guess we are in agreement then.

A Winter Solstice Tradition.
Taken over (or at least tried to be taken over) by the Jesus Freaks.

I'm pretty sure Jesus or his Disciples never went around and slid down chimneys in the Middle East and handed out presents.
Just another example of these Religious Assholes that want to take over our Ancient Heritage.

Actually, Christmas was created as a rival celebration. It was wildly successful. How many pagans are there today, as compared to Christians? ;)

"Our ancient heritage"? Are you a pagan Jack?

In many Protestant countries, including my own, Christmas wasn't celebrated because people didn't approve of the mass. It's crept back now, because there's money in it, but for at least a century we celebrated New Year instead (sometimes the Old New Year from before the calendar change), and at least one of the carols you pinched from us for Christmas is meant for New Year.

It's not racist, it's just stupid. No sense in associating peace and love and goodwill with all that superstitious rising from the dead
bullshit. It's just a bunch of lies people tell each other because they lack the courage to confront mortality and the human condition.

Sad, bigly.

I just love watching you destroy that turd. Where else can I have more fun with with my clothes on? Keep up the good word.

'We'? ... Like, you're a Freemason?

"Date September 18, 1793
The United States Capitol cornerstone laying was the ceremonial placement of the cornerstone of the United States Capitol on September 18, 1793. The cornerstone was laid by president of the United States George Washington, assisted by the Grand Master of Maryland Joseph Clark, in a Masonic ritual".

"At 10:00 a.m. on September 18, President of the United States George Washington and his entourage crossed the Potomac River to arrive in the city of Washington. There, they were joined by an escort consisting of the Alexandria Volunteer Artillery, and members of Masonic lodges from Virginia and Maryland, and proceeded to the construction grounds approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) away.[3] At the site of the Capitol, Washington was received by Joseph Clark, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Maryland. A silver plaque, fashioned by Georgetown silversmith Caleb Bentley, was handed to Washington, who stepped into the foundation trench and placed the plaque, whereupon the cornerstone was lowered. The plaque was inscribed with a brief tribute to the "military valor and prudence" of Washington, and dedicated the building in the "first year, of the second term, of the presidency of George Washington ... and in the year of Masonry 5,793."[1]"

See. "In the year of Masonry 5,793". NOT the birth of Jesus.

This is the problem with the Jesus Freaks, they try to take over everything and claim it as theirs. They've tried it with Christmas, they've tried it with the government, they try it with everything.

Do you understand the words "Separation of Church and State"? The Founding Fathers did that because they KNEW the Jesus Freaks would try to TAKE OVER. (shaking head. 3d. You're an example of the brainwashing that occurs at an early age)

I am a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, so, no Masronry for me. Damo is a Mason, though. I get together with an assembly of Shriners every St Patrick's Day.

I see no point in dragging the Masons and Shriners into the swamp.

The Masons are not to blame for any of the political mess this country is in.

Please yall! For Heaven's sake!

I'm a first degree member of the Thundernut Brothers (est. 1986) which means as much as being in the Masons or the KoC.

countryboy: "Actually, Christmas was created as a rival celebration."
Jack: The Christians tried (and were pretty successful) at taking over the Winter Solstice Tradition.

It is sad when these Religious Cults can't make up their own Holidays and have to infringe on others. (I think Jesus was born in March when the Romans took the census?)

See!

Notice the difference? Shriners help Children.
Christians? Spanish Inquisition.

We all get to choose.

My problem is 'Christians' always try to take over everybody else's 'Sacred Days' ... and call them their own. Why can't 'Christians' just make up their own Holidays ... like Kwanza did?
