Christians Burning Witches

Where did Christ mention witchcraft or sorcery?

The old testament is part of the Christian Bible. It's not relevant to Christians for historical reasons alone but for spiritual ones as well. I did address your point which was nothing more than a lie intended to spin away from the violent passages of the Bible used by Christians to support the persecution of those accused of witchcraft.

The Old Testament is read everyday of the week at Catholic Mass. It is very much a part of Catholic Christianity even though some try very hard to distance themselves from it when it's teachings are an inconvenience to them, it is a part of their faith and teachings.

In a nation where 90% follow this so called religion of peace it is still common.

"They’re going to cook the sanguma mama!”
The shout went up from a posse of children as they raced past the health clinic in a valley deep in the Papua New Guinean highlands. Inside, Swiss-born nurse and nun Sister Gaudentia Meier — 40-something years and a world away from the ordered alps of her homeland — was getting on with her daily routine, patching the wounds and treating the sicknesses of an otherwise woefully neglected population. It was around lunchtime, she recalls.

Sister Gaudentia knew immediately the spectacle the excited children were rushing to see. They were on their way to a witch-burning. There are many names for dark magic in the 850 tongues of Papua New Guinea, sanguma resonating widely in these mountains. The 74-year-old sister hurriedly rounded up some of her staff, loaded them in a car and followed the crowd, with a strong foreboding of what she would find.

Two days earlier she had tried to rescue Angela (not her real name), an accused witch, when she was first seized by a gang of merciless inquisitors looking for someone to blame for the recent deaths of two young men. They had stripped their quarry naked, blindfolded her, berated her with accusations and slashed her with bush knives (machetes). The “dock” for her trial was a rusty length of corrugated roofing, upon which she was displayed trussed and helpless. Photographs taken by a witness on a mobile phone show that the packed, inert public gallery encircling her included several uniformed police.
Someone needs to teach these apostates that they are in error. I'd suggest the liberals do it, but all they would do is pass out condoms and reefers.

You are losing this debate which is why you are resorting to calling me names.

Any "pastors" involved with burning witches do so against the teachings of Christ as well as the Catholic Church and any mainstream Christian denomination. The Bible contains the Old Testament because it is historically significant and contains the Scripture that Christ then fulfilled.

You really ought to learn about the Bible before you go on hating on it.

Name calling indicates that one is losing the argument? Interesting.

Christ taught that there is only one God; that's a bit different than paganism.

For the third and last time, Christians understand the OT as scripture that has been fulfilled.

So the Christians that want the 10 Commandments to be posted in public places are simply doing so for historical reasons?

this is sickening - an example of what ignorance and misogyny can perpetrate

2 Timothy 3:16
New International Version (NIV)
16*All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

This is nothing but selection bias.

MATTHEW 5:17-19: 17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

He is very clear here, till heaven and earth pass away!

Rana this is not relevant to my point or any i have made. I am arguing that the OT is a part of Christianity. Dy tried to argue that it was only or mostly (I am sure he will claim I have misrepresented him) used for historical purposes, which is really quite absurd.

It is relevent, in my opinion because it states that the OT and the law are still to be observed by Christians, and that the law will not pass until it has been fulfilled, which by my reading is the return of Jesus, his second coming and then there will be a new heaven and a new earth, as is talked about by Jesus and in the Book of Revelations.

I don't disagree that the OT is a part of Christian beliefs.

I call you dumbass, because its true. Nothing more. And I don't debate you; I mock you. But interpret as you wish; I will find it amusing.
