To quit: To give up... Palin hasn't given up. She did what was in the best interest of Alaska. You see, Democrat operatives converged on Alaska, hell bent to destroy her any way they could, and her precious time as governor was being infringed upon by these people who were requiring her to address issues unrelated to her job, and defend herself in court, etc. What she did, enables her to go out and make some money to fight the bogus charges, and clear her name, so that she can run for president in 2012, as opposed to sitting in Alaska, being stifled from governing, and enduring the relentless witch hunt that had ensued. I think it was a smart strategy, and if you want to criticize her for "quitting" then you are welcome to do that, I don't think it will effect a single supporter of Sara Palin, but maybe it will make you feel better about yourself as she is kicking your asses?
"Go out and make some money to fight the bogus charges.."
The RNC just wrote a check for $1258500+ to Palin's attorneys for those charges.
"Asked about Mrs. Palin's role with the RNC this fall, spokesman Doug Heye declined to say whether her fundraising help was the purpose of the check. He said only that "the disbursement relates to legal fees incurred during the summer and fall of 2008, when Democrats engaged in a partisan witch hunt against Gov. Palin. Based on conversations in 2008, the RNC decided to step in to help."
Maybe she just developed a taste for travel and designer duds.
