"Apparently you are unaware that the Hague Tribunal has already decided that the Phillipines has sovereignty over the Spratly Islands. Moontwat's favourite news organ says so, hence must be true.

Hague Tribunal rules in favor of Philippines, China to ignore decision

China has caused irreparable harm to the ecosystem of ..." HM #18
The most recent report I reviewed of it indicated there are numerous geological features in potential contest, and that some of them are un-named, and some do not routinely emerge.

Since China began dredge / augmentation there, and have been adding further infrastructure augmentation, it seems to me that solidifies China's claim.

I'm not talking bad about the Hague. But it's not clear to me on what basis its declaration was made, what factors were considered, what factors were ignored, and whether these criteria were agreed upon by interested parties (a long list, including the U.S.).

If the sovereignty is still contested, you seem to believe it is, and my most recent information on it is that it is; then can we consider the Hague declaration binding?

The way to resolve these territorial disputes is to:
- name & precisely locate each contested geological feature
- get all parties to agree to the criteria to used for declaring ownership
- get all parties to agree to the decision making body & process, &
- agree in advance that the arbitration is binding.

I gather these clowns haven't done that.

good points but dredge islands ( which expand the 200 mile limit)
should not be used /excused to artificially expand the sea boundaries
