I read about stuttering. "The term stuttering is most commonly associated with involuntary sound repetition, but it also encompasses the abnormal hesitation or pausing before speech, referred to by people who stutter as blocks" wiki

If you're predetermined to disapprove of President Biden and only looking for reasons, it explains why you're being so critical of his performance. I turned it on and listened to him for a while. Sounds like he is being honest and thinking about his answers. I didn't really see anything so bad. I still think he's doing a good job.

Is there anything he could do which would meet with your approval? It doesn't sound like it. I don't think you're giving him a fair chance.

Good grief. Sorry. I just pop in from time to time to take a break from what I'm doing in real life.

I listened to a few minutes. He sounds pretty coherent to me. So what. He stutters a bit here and there. Nobody knows exactly what causes stuttering. Give the guy credit for even doing something which requires public speaking. It's really quite admirable what he's accomplished with his life.

You're just not giving him a chance.

Nobody is perfect. That video is just an example of looking for the worst moments of someone who has a speech disorder.

Talk about gutter politics. Here's your sign. Give the guy a break and talk about the points he's making, not how well he enunciates them.

I'd rather have somebody who thinks good thoughts and then struggles to put them into words than a slick-talking conman as president.

That too isn't an ad hominem as it comes after my discussion of the point. My pointing out that you too fit that description and pattern isn't an ad hominem as it isn't baseless.

The argument I made goes like this. The characteristics of X are A, B, and C. You BE fit those characteristics. Not an ad hominem.

PBS did not slant it at all. There was no report of the event on PBS. Apparently they didn't even consider it newsworthy.

I gather from that that it wasn't really a town hall at all. It was a selected audience question and answer session hosted by a commercial news network. President Biden probably agreed to it because he felt that they would not be overly aggressive, and it would be a way to straight-talk to the public and make his first network appearance.The network did it to sell advertising and the president did it to get exposure in a different way than his predecessor who is now seen in an unfavorable way.
