I used to use a very simple test to gage the spin of newspapers years ago....

Lets say a politician does some dirty deed and the paper reports it.....if its a Democrat politician, they would report the deed, print his name, etc....but what they also did was bury his political affiliation deep in the article.....or not reveal it at all......you'd have to search for it.

If it was a Republican, that fact would be printed in the first line of the story or in the headline....a subtle but effective tactic back then...

The conservative argument seems to be as follows: Fox News isn't biased, Fox News isn't biased, Fox News isn't biased, with an eventual okay, Fox News has a conservative bias. But it's not as bad as MSNBC.

They are among the few conservative choices in the media. So, there is only one Fox, but there is an NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, etc. Combine the ratings of the latter and they probably match Fox.

Doesn't change that Fox isn't "balanced" or truthful. They're a campaign arm of the GOP, essentially. Sorry that bothers you.

But, you're unable to stick to topic. When push comes to shove, and you, NOVA and the rest are painted in a corner, the battle cry just becomes "MSNBC!" and "They do it too!" I've never defended MSNBC's bias, or any of the other networks. I think the death of real journalism is a tragedy.
