Eliminate the filibuster.
A national law guaranteeing a right to an abortion in the first trimester and in all cases of rape and incest.

National marijuana legalization.
A climate change plan that puts the United States on a path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

You couldn’t get the majority of Democrats running to support it, too generalized and idealistic, in fact, like the Green Deal, it would be distorted and demagogued to the advantage of Republicans

There are some good suggestions. I don't agree with all.

Flat tax on EVERYONE. Zero write offs for anyone or anything. Everyone pays no matter what the income level is. Lets say its 15% just to use a number. The burger flipper pays 15% and the heart surgeon the same. Its the only fair way.

They have not been trying to. Not a current bill.
Obama had a super majority in the senate and still didn't end the filibuster. Instead he gave us the Heritage Foundation plan for healthcare. Dems are paid to lose, they are the Washington Generals of politics.

the drug dealer still pays nothing so not totally fair.
Consumption tax (Fair Tax) is the only way to insure everyone is chipping in.

Stone, a flat tax would be better than what we now have but a consumption tax is the most fair.

Everyone consumes and the wealthy consumes more so would pay more.

It is the most fair tax...and for that reason, will never become tax law.

Everyone should pay their fair share, even the poor...no free rides.

Sanders proposal would levy a 0.5% tax on stock trades, a 0.1% tax on bond trades, and a 0.005% fee on derivatives trades.

Yes he certainly did. Didnt get too far. Trouble was the intent was to get more revenue in areas involving capital gains as the wealthy mainly see their wealth grow in this way. But what about everyone wit IRAs 401k's insurance policies or just casual investors ? It hits them as well and they're alrady getting nailed with income taxes.
