Many states already have such courses and Congress has no authority to determine school curricula.

I don't need to try again. There are no errors in my original post. Being "buddies" with teachers' unions does not give Congress the power to pass a national requirement.

The DCCC plan is to nominate the candidate who wins a majority of delegates in the primaries and caucuses as they do every presidential election.

Who said anything about Congress? I said democrats. And they and teachers unions alone have completely fucked up public education in this country.

The contract proposal was for a national civics course with the same nation-wide standards. That would require Congress.

If you are talking about a state requirement it already exists in almost every state--no action needed.

In many states teachers' unions have very little power to do anything.
