(Yeah, I got a bad feeling on this one) :(

Jack, just woke up in the Thai countryside and saw a snake sunning itself. Ran to get my phone but it had buggered off, think it was a Russell's viper but not sure. Anyway here is a picture of some Thai bullshit, makes a change from the American variety.

I saw a snake this morning but it disappeared before I could take a picture. For your information that is a banded krait, venomous but quite docile unless you step on one. Good advice, never go into the long grass. The one good thing is that they are quite distinctive and just about every hospital has anti-venom. The real problem occurs when you try to tell them that you've been bitten by a brown snake with stripes on its back!!
Oh, and Thais love geckos, if you have them in the house then you won't have any snakes, true story!!
