Hmmm....talk about underscoring a point.I think this underscores my point.....I think we already know more about Romney's high school activities than you obviously know about the relationship between Ayers and Obama....did you know that Ayers got him the position on the board or did you think it was just a coincidence?.....did reporters interview five other people on the board and ask them if what happened at the board meetings haunts them to this very day?.......
No, not like swiftboating. These associates of Romney are telling the truth.you mean it's like Swiftboating?.....
That presumes you accept Ayers at his word that he "first met" Obama at a fund raiser held to start his campaign for the state senate.....personally, I find it hard to believe that he would hold a fund raiser in his house for a man that he had never before met....that was in 1995....you would also have to accept that he did not know Obama when he was hired to serve as the president of the Annenberg Challenge, which was an organization that Ayers started. also in 1995.....yet the story they stuck to was they just talked to each other a few times at board meetings in 1999.....and of course, lived in the same neighborhood....Hmmm....talk about underscoring a point.
According to my research, Obama served on the board of the Woods Fund from 1993-2002.
Ayers joined the board in 1999.
Care to expand on 'your point'? Did Ayers 'get Obama on the board' 6 years before joining? Or are you talking about the Chicago Annenberg Challenge?
And exactly what type of work did Obama do w/Ayers?
Nope...sorry. Don't backpedal now. I know how/where they met. I'd like you to explain when/how Ayers got Obama on 'the board'. You didn't even give us the name of the group you were referring to.That presumes you accept Ayers at his word that he "first met" Obama at a fund raiser held to start his campaign for the state senate.....personally, I find it hard to believe that he would hold a fund raiser in his house for a man that he had never before met....that was in 1995....you would also have to accept that he did not know Obama when he was hired to serve as the president of the Annenberg Challenge, which was an organization that Ayers started.....yet the story they stuck to was they just met each other a few times at board meetings after 1999.....
as I said before....where were the reporters interviewing five board members to verify matters.....
C'mon 4 eyes. You still owe us a citation for your claim about 'the board'. It could be that I missed that bit of info. Do you have some inside info????...backpedaling?......so you believe they "met" at the board meetings of Woods Fund?....
What do you think about the 12-hour road trip he took with his family and the dog crate (with dog Seamus), strapped to the roof of the car? Do you think that illustration of his judgment regarding that incident has any bearing today?
The dog had a diarrhea attack mid-trip. Most likely from the 55 mph winds, noise and other cars. Just a guess. I know, I know - really a stretch, to think the dog was afraid.
I think that kind of callousness is quite relevant, particularly because of the way it transferred to all of the livelihoods he easily destroyed with his vulture Bain ventures.
oh, you mean this?...its all there....C'mon 4 eyes. You still owe us a citation for your claim about 'the board'. It could be that I missed that bit of info. Do you have some inside info?
There are people who take their dogs with them, on their Motorcycle.
How is this any different?

The NY times today said he later came out as gay. But what possible difference can that make? Several years ago an 11 yo boy came home after football prac tice and hanged himself. His teamates all called him gay. He never self-identified that way, and probably wasn't. Does that make it okay??? Yeah, when you have a homophobic society sometime straight people get hurt. Im sure Hitler gassed a few non-Jews by mistake too - so??? Romney belittled another student who was believed to be gay (and the belief is all that matters) by yelling out "atta girl" every time the kid talked. He bullied and assaulted kids he thought were gay. That's what matters.
Now, it was a long time ago. But what's interesting is from what is reported, Romney led the assault. The other guys who joined in were just as guilty, but it's interesting in that they all appear to have shown remorse, not just now, but throughout their lives. One of them ran into the victim years later and spoke to him. He apologized to him. And the vicitm was tormented by this because he told this man that yes, he had thought about that a lot. But the leader and instigator of the assault never expressed any remorse and when publically confronted about it pretended he didn't remember it and when nobody believed you could forget holding someone down while they scream, and assaulting them with a fucking scissors (a deadly weapon btw), he chuckled and called it a "prank".
Yeah, that's about character. And that's about his character yesterday. You know, Thursday, May 10th 2012.

Nevertheless, it seems to refute your claim that they met before '95.
That aside, the issue on the table is your claim that Ayers got Obama his position on the board at Woods.
Are you prepared to retract that, as a means to 'underscore' your point?
That is pure nonsense. You are making the above statement because you don't like Romney. Period. Many people don't remember events from their past. You are projecting how 'intense' the moment was. If it wasn't intense for the bullies, it may not stick with them. I know bullies from high school that never saw themselves as such. It certainly stuck with those they picked on, but not them. If Romney was constantly pulling pranks and he thought this was just another, it may not have stuck with him. You just want to paint him as evil for political purposes.
Funny how this nonsense from 50 years ago popped up right as Obama came out in favor of gay marriage. Got all the Dem lemmings to fall in line jumping on this 'vicious hair cutting' rather than on the economy, Obamacare, jobs, the problems in Europe etc... No no no... lets pay attention to a hair cutting a high school kid did 50 years ago.
Aside from being full of shit, you have severe comprehension issues as well. I never claimed they met in '09, but you claimed that Ayers got Obama his position on the board.lol....right....you just stick with your claim they met in 99......the point is clear...the press is giving more attention to what Romney did in high school than to what Obama did as an adult....
Anyone reading my posts on this thread knows this is not my claim. My claim is that people who aren't sociopaths who bullied others, especially in cases where they physically assaulted a screaming kid as happened here, feel and express tremendous remorse over it throughout their lives. Often, they seek out their victims to make amends. To gain forgiveness. They do this because they are tortured by these memories. That is change.
What Mitt did? Not change.
Aside from being full of shit, you have severe comprehension issues as well. I never claimed they met in '09, but you claimed that Ayers got Obama his position on the board.
You're backpedaling so fast, you're about to hit the wall. OK..so are we going to file that in the 'bullshit' bin, or are you going to allow me to keep humiliating you?
Well now we're getting into very sensitive issues of who was the bullied and who were the bullies. And you know, that's not a road I'm going to go down with you here.
I've made my points. I do have compassion for those who behaved in this manner, as long as they have expressed serious remorse. I have said this over and over.
And one more time, there's a pattern here. I believe it's a pattern. I believe Romney is missing something. And that's why he constantly stumbles on this stuff. We'll see how it all plays out. Nothing I say here is going to change how this all plays out as the election goes on. Let's just call it the missing sensitivity chip. We'll see.
