Hundreds of Occupy D.C. Protesters Block Conservatives From Leaving Summit

If I looked in the mirror and saw webbway I'd shoot myself as well, thanks for your input. I do note how you just "missed" a huge chunk of what I said so you could pretend there was some sort of "equivalence" in the post that you wanted to be there. That's okay, I'm used to that from Darla..

That sounds so eerily familiar. I wish I could place it....

He shouldn't write it here, but I do the same thing in real life. Many of the anti-Obama people I know are nakedly racist using that word to describe him all the time. I personally use the word when referring to him, in the way that Sean Penn recently did. FTR I do the same thing with the c word and bitch and whore, when I am describing con policy on women. I would never write that stuff here because I understand how i can be misunderstood, often willfully. But I understand where Mott is coming from with that.

And actually, I really like Mott, something that has surprised me since I came back. I used to argue with him a lot. A lot. Now he makes me laugh all the time. I must have mellowed huh? But I'm sorry, he is not hateful. IMO.

I have no idea what idiocy Sean Penn recently said/did and really don't care. Equating oneself to that moron is not a wise move.

I understand that there are people out there who refer to Obama in that manner and mean it in a more vicious way. As I said, Mott appears to feel a bit guilty about his racist tendencies and so comes of softer. But he is still a racist. He is still using that word to frequently to try and project onto others the racism he himself feels. Too many times he has responded to people's posts with 'you just don't like the N in the White House' or some such nonsense.

A lot of cons just don't like the N in the white house. That's where your theory falls apart. I don't believe Mott is projecting anything.

Sean Penn was exactly right and what he said that I'm referring to is: The Teaparty, or as I like to call them, the get the N out of the white house party.

You should see me when I get going on you bastards after a couple of drinks SF. You'd hate me. But I'm very funny and my lib friends love it and ask for more. ;)

No one here would ever recognize me because I am very much not politically correct in person.

I don't believe in being politically correct. But there is a difference between that and using the more hateful rhetoric. N, C, F

That I don't like, regardless of who is saying it. As for getting wound up with a bit of alcohol, I would likely find it funny. Especially as I would keep pulling strings to set you off on different tangents.... cause I am evil like that.

Just because it goes against YOUR desire to have the government run every aspect of your life, does not mean they are voting against their interests you dolt. You simply have a different opinion on what 'their best interests' are. You believe YOU should dictate to them what their best interests are. They disagree.

Yes, a constantly changing 1% means that it is not some super duper elite status that no one can break into or fall out of. Most people have to work hard to get there or have some talent (music, athlete, actor) that gets them there. As many have proven over time, it is just as easy to fall out of the 1% if you are bad with money, stop working hard, no longer innovative, etc...

Again... NO ONE gets worried when they see a 'protest' act like a bunch of whiny children. NO ONE. No matter how many times you say it, it won't change it. The actions depicted in that video were nothing more than a bunch of whiny children stomping their feet and throwing a fit. That doesn't scare anyone.... except of course those very same children who chose to hide their faces from the camera.

Right...so you go from being in the top 1% to being in the top 1.1%. This part of your argument has no merit whatsoever.

As to the rest of your tripe, you are wrong.
The elites are nervous.
Their heads will be the first in the guillotine.

You are not aware of their fears, because you are not one of them, so you don't speak for them.

You thinking is wishfull, nothing more.

1) Again... they had NO right to deny her exit from the building. NONE. Quit trying to find excuses for their reprehensible action.
2) No, I don't know what happened inside, nor did I make some dumbass proclamation like 'they showed how evilz dey are'.
3) she took the route she was supposed to take due to the wheelchair, she was blocked from leaving by a bunch of petulant children throwing a fit outside. They KNEW their actions were wrong... that is why they hid their faces from the camera.

So when tea party folks walk down the street in a group and prevent cars going by do you condemn them?

I think Penn highlights EXACTLY what I am saying. He wants to project that image onto the Tea Party/Conservatives/Republicans. Mott does the same fucking thing. Do those people exist... sure. But they are a tiny tiny minority of those who want Obama out of the White House. It is just a pathetic use of Obama's pigmentation by the likes of Penn to try and pin racism charges on those he hates.

Penn is one of the biggest pieces of shit ever to walk this earth. Keep in mind the thugs he supports when championing his 'thoughts'.

Without question. People have a right to protest in an ORDERLY manner. They do NOT have the right to block others. Now, if they got a permit to shut down a lane of a street or the entire street, that is a different matter. Because then the public would know in advance that said street(s) were shut off or partially shut off. (we see that with organized marches all the time)

Doing so in an unorderly manner can put people in danger. Which is why it is not supposed to be allowed.

Right...so you go from being in the top 1% to being in the top 1.1%. This part of your argument has no merit whatsoever.

Rich people lose it all too you moron. The Department of Treasury did a study showing 57% of the top 1% in 1996 were no longer in the top 1% in 2005. That is how many moved out. Some may have dropped just to the 1.1%, but many went bankrupt as well.

As to the rest of your tripe, you are wrong.

No, I am not wrong. You are stating YOUR opinion. Period. Voting for a liberal is voting against ones best interest as it takes the power out of the hands of the individual and puts it in the hands of the government.

The elites are nervous.
Their heads will be the first in the guillotine.

thanks for showing us all how delusional you are on this topic.

You are not aware of their fears, because you are not one of them, so you don't speak for them.

1) I am in the top 1% of income earners, though not in the top 1% of total wealth.
2) I manage money for many who ARE in the top 1% and I can tell you, they are not worried about events like the one depicted in this thread. Many of them actually share the sentiments against Wall Street. Many of them actually want some of the same changes that the OWS are proposing. So no... they are not 'scared' by the idiocy displayed by these protesters and those that behave like them.

I disagree. Racists may be a minority of the people who want Obama out of the white house (at this point I'd say that probable), but they are not a minority among teaparty activists. The majority of teaparty activists are racists. That's my opinion, based on the ones I know, the demonstrations I've observed, and the signs I've seen.

I do love slowing down and yelling out "Get a job you smelly bum" at them though. I do it every time I see them. I know it really burns them. Because of course they're "real Americans" (white), and only lefties are smelly, out of work, bums when they protest. So I enjoy that and I do thank them for dressing up in teabag hats and providing me with that very enjoyable opportunity.

You are using anecdotal evidence. If you are referring to those around you, well, NY'ers in general are more racist by nature than in most parts of the country. Go ahead... tell me I am wrong on that.

I too work for the very wealthy. I have seen their fear of the disquieting masses first hand.

They are building safe rooms, hiring body guards, installing updated security systems, armoring their vehicles, and moving into gated communities.
Keep telling yourself, "I'll be O.K., I'll be O.K.".

Well, they are not more openly racist than Southerners, and in fact, my aunt, uncle, and four cousins who are all teabaggers and openly racist, live in North Carolina.

However, Long Island was long the most segregated suburb in the nation, so we certainly are not without institutional racism, historically. I do not know how either NY or the South compare to the west, but between NY and southern states, southern states are definitely more openly racist. Very few white people are without any racism though. We're all raised in the same racist and sexist culture.

And really one need only read the comments of self-described teapartiers on the internet to see just how racist most of them are. I mean, it's not hard to figure out.

I know here, who is a self-described teapartier? DY? racist. ID? Racist. ALias? Racist. Tinfoil? Maybe you should read Tiana's signature where she quotes one of his winning N word posts. But put here aside - go read under news articles or on con sites.

They let their freak flag fly. I mean, it's not like they're not proud of it for the most part.

LMAO... sure they are. You crack me up. What TV show did you see that on?

I didn't say more 'openly' racist. I said they are more racist in general.

Having been all over the country, Hawaii the only state I haven't been too.... the south does have more open racism. Every time I go to NYC it is there, it is like giant cliques based on racial and/or religious lines and there is quite a bit of hostility between them. The west in my opinion is nothing like that. In part because we are younger than most of the east coast and don't have as much of the institutionalized racism you mentioned engrained in us. It still exists, in each of us to an extent as you mention, but it is far less prevalent here.... and yes... I am saying it... we are better than you. :)

Using the internet as evidence is pretty weak. I could easily log on and pretend to be a liberal and spout off every stupid talking point the Dem masters put out there, providing a caricature of the liberals and providing the same type of fodder you are using to proclaim the tea party racist in general. In other words, I could be a parrot like Dung or Bfgrn.

I could also be 98% of all posters on this board. How would you know?

I used to have a friend who grew up in Hawaii and I got the strong impression from him that he was raised with little to no racist thinking. And he was white.

How can Hawaii be the only state you haven't been to? I haven't been to a lot of states, but I've been to the best ones, except for Hawaii. A couple of the worst ones too. Isn't Hawaii pretty high on your list?
