The Mega-Rich Have Declared War Against Ordinary Americans

It is not pointless. You can argue motives, but you can't ignore the evidence.

From the end of the Civil War to the beginning of the 20th century was aptly called the Gilded Age. Corruption and dishonesty of the wealthy and the corporations was unregulated and had almost complete control of government. And the wealth disparity in America reflected those conditions.

We are now living in the NEW Gilded Age.

The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Cliché, sure, but it's also more true than at any time since the Gilded Age.

The poor are getting poorer, wages are falling behind inflation, and social mobility is at an all-time low.

If you're in that top 1%, life is grand.

Not so for the other 99%

The Marxist one liner about the top one percent is getting old.

That would explain why he likes dishonest Abe.

Never been able to make-up my mind about Lincoln. I disagree with him that the Union needed to be preserved, as the Patrician States didn't have any further need for the Plebe States. I like his domestic policies of homesteading and infrastructural growth (transcontinental railroad, etc.). I disagree with his plan for Reconstruction as too lenient.

They can't respond to the evidence because they believe in the conservative plan-destroy American society and democracy for personal/international corporate gain, make America an oligarchy while driving 99% of the population into poverty. The only problem is the radicals here don't believe they are in the 99% and they will somehow prosper.

Out of all the posts on this thread not one radical conservative fascist here disputed any of Ken's points. As usual they attack the messenger.
Just keep you hands over your eyes and ears and mouths just like the obedient little monkeys you've been conditioned to be.

Revolution against the takeover of our govt by international corporate and communist interests? In order for the U.S. to survive it has to happen. If not, say hello to more American fascism. Obama had better find his shoes and start walking with the working people in this country or he's toast too.

Teabaggers are starting to regret their voting decision, they're starting to realize conservatives don't give a shit about jobs unless those jobs are created in China and instead of taxing Bush's Base they are attacking the rights of working people and their children. I'm hoping there will be a huge backlash against the current rise of fascism, if not the poverty conservatives want to impose on Americans will lead to revolution.

I think the teabaggers are looking to cut the lazy union members numbers to 0.

Ordinary People vs. the Mega Rich? Sounds like how Southern ideologues sold the war-effort to the common proles during the Civil War, of which the OP alludes to. How did that work out for the South? I seem to recall that they got put back in their place - beneith the glorious North.

fuck you yankee dog.
