The Mega-Rich Have Declared War Against Ordinary Americans

Since the Southern Sates make up less than that percentage of the 50, it appears that we are doing quite well, and your assertion was wrong. :)

The Tax Foundation - Federal Spending Received Per Dollar of Taxes Paid by State, 2005

I think it is interesting these states who love to hate socialism sure don't mind the wealth being redistributed to their state. Maybe states should just get dollar for dollar. If I was California, I sure would be crowing. It sure looks like Blue states support the Red states, I think some serious re-considerations may need to be made. Take from the Blue, to give to the Red doesn't make much sense.

so when is the revolution? its tiring to hear the whiny internet arm chair warriors wail about how terrible it is in america....

Prosperity...for WHOM?

For everyone, considering that if the US would have maintained its fiscal and monetary (not regulatory, mind you!!) policies, which produced 5% economic growth per annum, we could potentially be 500% more prosperous today. Especially since the likes of the men most responsible for that productivity tended to be honest and good employers, as opposed to the lesser known men who landed everyone with the term "Robber Baron."

Oh gosh, not this again. The red states are generally larger in area (more road mileage per capita) and they are growing, so they need more infrastructure investment, while the blue states are shedding people. Duh.

I would be too. What with the highest sales tax in the nation, 3rd highest personal income tax and 5th highest income tax, and only 2nd to LAST in terms of welcoming businesses too, it's kind of amazing that they still managed to spend themselves into bankruptcy.

Besides, those are typically the richest states in the nation, giving to the poorest. How is that any different than your idea of taxing the rich more to help the poor?

I disagree.

No response eh? Not surprising, I wouldn't like my entire outlook on life being exposed for the hypocrisy it is.

I'd have to say that I've been around a few, and, well,,,,

They're pretty lazy.

Honestly.

Does a labor union hire workers? No, the company hires workers. Labor unions protect workers rights, something you don't believe in. If a worker is lazy the union is not at fault, but must protect his rights all the same. Your one line posts prove how out of touch and ignorant you are about labor and reality. Sober up.

I would say the op is wrong. The middle class (tea party) is declaring war on the handout recipients.

America's new battle cry! Save the rich! It is the only way to save the USA!
