Libya Declares Ceasefire

Huge success to Hillary Clinton and President Obama IF this holds.

FOR WHAT?????

You just got done with a thread telling us how Obama left this situation in Libya up to those who knew what they were doing. Yet now you give him credit?

What a maroon.

:whoa:

LOL...so when obama essentially sits out and let's others take the lead, he still gets the credit

Seriously? You really belive that at the UN we were just sitting back? Of corse we are not taking the lead against Lybia on the front lines like we did with Iraq... But this resolution at the UN passed because of HRC's passion for it.

What a maroon.

I never said that. I said he has people who know what they are doing in the proper positions... Yes, his administration gets credit for bringing about a coalition in the UN to do something.

Obama and Co. get credit for having the good sense to stand back and not be seen to be acting like those control freaks Cheney and Rumsfeld. Anyway, you ought to know that 9/10ths of an iceberg is under the surface.

wow...obama gets all the credit for bringing about this coalition...how odd, when in the other thread you said we are essentially taking a back seat to the UN and AL.

no matter what obama does, if he does something unilterally in afghanistan, he is a success, if he lets others take action, he is a success.

obama could fart and you would proclaim he was successful in ending global warming

Works both ways. This was Obama's "invasion" for you, until it worked.

LOL.... Obama stands back in EVERY situation. It is not about good sense. He doesn't like to take a stand. His opinion depends on which way the wind is blowing.

As for the behind the scenes implication you made above... please... Obama is scene as a pushover by the international community. He is perceived as weak (Which goes back to the first comment I made). While Hillary may have SOME clout, I would find it hard to believe the US had much to do behind the scenes.

You misunderstood what I was saying. I said he brought about a UN AL cooalition, or that his people did. By his people I mean Hillary Clinton and company.

It amazes me how stupid Jarhead is sometimes. He actually believes that Qadaffy is telling the truth, and this "ceasefire" means something! He probably either ran out of people to kill easily, or he had to get some more bullets shipped in... that is the only "ceasefire" happening there. And then there is the possibility he is playing off the incompetent idiocy of pinheads like Jarhead... I mean, how are you going to do a no-fly zone against a man who has made peace? Yep, it is a chess game... Pinheads are getting whipped.

Unlike that master tactician Bush who is scene (sic) as a bumbling fool who really does believe the world is full of white hats and black hats. There needs to be a few more who should have "softly softly catchee monkey" hung over their beds.

Of course he is playing a game but who cares if he stops then fine, if not then bomb the shit out of his airforce and artillery.

Yeah, I mean... what with all the unfettered media access we have in Libya... I bet we'll know about even a few dozen people he kills in the dark of night over the coming days...and of course, if he SAYS he's not doing that, we should believe him, because he is such a fine and honest man who would never lie to us!

The idea that the UN, the Arab League, the United States, France and the UK would have to rely on the media to find out if Qaddafi is complying with the cease fire is pretty funny.

You really are a doe-eyed naif!
