So now we need a Ballroom?

A king in everything but name.

So you say. I didn't realize we elected monarchs whose power was unchecked.

Personally, I prefer dictator.

I know.

The American people will not be permitted to walk into the ballroom anytime they want.

The American people are not permitted to walk into a lot of publicly owned places anytime they want.

You cannot just walk into a national park, even though they are publicly owned. Access is generally free for walking in, but there are specific rules, regulations, and fees that apply, such as entrance fees for some parks or permits for certain activities. While the land is public, it is managed by the National Park Service, which has its own rules for entry.

If I want to walk into a nation park and spend the day hiking, picnicking, or using the restrooms, it's free. If I use their restaurants or cabins, of course I'd pay.

Not necessarily.

Some charge an entry fee. They are still public property.

You also can't walk onto a military reservation, even though that's public property.

You also can't just walk into many federal buildings. They're public property, too.

Your logic is faulty.

Two sets of rules, of course. ;)

Always. Did you catch her other plagiarizing the other day? She posted something she copied from elsewhere, most likely Facebook. It was obviously not her words as it was, according to @AProudLefty, laced with f-bombs and correct punctuation. When he gave her flack about it, she rushed to remove the swears and add a few extraneous ellipses to make it look like one of her typical malformed word salads. Then claimed she didn't edit it, even though the software clearly shows that she did. Too funny!

 This reminds me of Mike Johnson's comment the other day. A repub from my fair state told Johnson that trump was "unhinged" and "unwell" and his response was, "a lot of folks on your side are, too. I can't control him..."

He also said, in true conservative mode, that the No KIngs rallies were "Hate America" events. Evidently if you criticize the president, it means you hate the entire country, in MAGATSpeak. Just like if you are anti-war, it means you hate our military members and vets.

Obama needed a basketball court... Which cost the taxpayers more money than this ballroom
I do not care that he is putting in a ballroom, (although I think he is lying about who is paying for it).

I care that he lied about preserving the East wing. I care that he bypassed the rules regarding government owned historical buildings.

The entire East Wing is coming down.

One more abomination to be corrected when he's gone.
Once built, it'll stay as a reminder of why America doesn't want a king.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Marine One clips one of Trump's monstrous flag poles and crashes into the ballroom?

President Donald Trump's former White House chief of staff has raised safety concerns over his new flagpoles.

Trump oversaw the installation of two flagpoles on the White House's lawns on Wednesday, each measuring 30.5 meters in height.

Mick Mulvaney warned that the flagpoles could pose a problem for landing the president's helicopter. "I see a problem for where they're supposed to land the helicopter — because this is right on the South Lawn, and I'm not really sure," he told NewsNation.
