If the Gospels were written later than the time period they are based in, the accounts would be fill of anachronisms and be far less detailed about the time period of Jesus's ministry. That isn't the case. Only people that actually lived then would have the social milieu and names and other details accurate. There are no anachronisms, and everything fits, so it's not even debatable the sources used were accurate and the events current. And there is zero doubt Jesus and the Apostles were educated Jews or mentored by educated Jews.
