Why is BP taking all the blame?

The righties have failed every "tell" during this entire crisis, imo.

If you can't nudge a little credit the admin's way for $20B, you're saying to the world, "Not only will I not give this man any credit, but I will do my best to exaggerate and falsify to put him in the worst light possible."

And, no surprise, that's what they're doing. The lion's share of hackery belongs to the right on this one.

to date, only SF has said obama deserves no credit....and that was in another thread....yet here you are spouting your typical meadowmuffins about thise imaginary "righties" who say obama gets "no" credit

i give cypress props for discussing the issue intelligently with me and him and i actually AGREE on the issue for the most....see onceler, thats what happens when you shut down that partisan windflap you call a mouth

You use 25% of the world's oil supply but have only 5% of the population. You could save at least 2 million barrels a day just by driving the same type of cars as in Europe. That would mitigate, if not eliminate the need to go searching for deep water oil.

1. FREEDOM means getting to drive what we want to drive.
2. All of Europe could fit inside of Texas, with room for Turkey too.
3. Nothing will eliminate the need to drill for oil except buying more foreign oil.

What will most likely happen is that BP will file for bankruptcy in the US and then withdraw from the North American market. There will also be so many obstacles and regulations put in place it will most likely stop any company wanting to go deep sea drilling hence you will end up even more dependent on foreign oil.
