Does Harvard have a right to taxpayer money?

Maybe it's not that the research is important to Harvard. Maybe it's that it's important to humanity.
Oh, so Harvard’s too broke to fund its own research now? What, their $50 billion endowment’s just pocket lint? Guess those ivory towers don’t pay for themselves, huh? And don’t tell me it’s not a gold mine, fleecing rich parents to send little Brayden and Tiffani to rub elbows with Nobel laureates is practically Harvard’s business model. Chaotic, elitist, and oh-so-profitable.

Now, let’s talk about what libtards will point to as crucial research, that GLP-1 miracle, taxpayers coughed up billions through NIH grants so Joel Habener could pave the way for Ozempic and Wegovy. Life-changing drugs, sure, but who’s swimming in Scrooge McDuck vaults of cash? Spoiler, not you, Joe Taxpayer. Novo Nordisk’s laughing all the way to the bank with $40 billion in sales last year, while we get the privilege of footing the bill for their R&D. What a system! It’s practically begging for pay-to-play schemes, funnel public money to labs, then hand the profits to Big Pharma. Corruption? Nah, not a chance, just “research.”

And don’t get me started on the Dems’ crocodile tears. They’ll scream that if we don’t keep Harvard’s lights on with our taxes, humanity’s doomed. Meanwhile, private companies, y’know, those evil capitalist pigs drop a couple hundred billion a year on medical R&D, dwarfing federal handouts. Always have.

The free market’s not perfect, but it’s churned out more lifesaving drugs than any socialist pipe dream, not even close. Yet here come the limousine liberals, robbing working-class wallets to pad the coffers of the richest universities on Earth. Shocker! Just another day for the party of elite hypocrites, preaching equality while pickpocketing the poor and the clueless drones just grin and bear it.

There are less right wingers defending Trump on the forum. They realize Trump cannot be justified.
The ones still on the forum seem to be insane.
It is starting to look like trump is dropping in the polls. If something goes wrong in the economy, I think we will see him drop to record lows.

Or should I say when something goes wrong in the economy.

Other than Trump and his administration of stooges, I don't think anyone trusts Trump on the economy.

Depending on how Congress appropriated it, Harvard has a right to it. If the only reason they are not getting it is a free speech issue, that is not a legal reason. I think you have a very simplistic understanding of how our government works.
Prove Congress specifically appropriated funds specifically for Harvard. I will understand if you can’t

Contracts. Like for scientific research. How most science funding is done.
No contracts, Hugo. Science is not a research or study or funding.

Let's examine some of this research money is wasted on:

* Experiments to see the feasibility of housing live pigeons inside missiles to guide the flight paths of the missiles.
* Searching for evidence that some real plants imitate the shapes of neighboring artificial plastic plants.
* Studying whether the hair on the heads of most people in the northern hemisphere swirls in the same direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise?) as hair on the heads of most people in the southern hemisphere.
* A study of whether fake medicine that causes painful side-effects can be more effective than fake medicine that does not cause painful side-effects.
* A study of the swimming abilities of a dead trout.
* A study on whether mammals are capable of breathing through their anus.
* Studying a technique for using chromatography to separate drunk and sober worms.
* A study of exploding a paper bag next to a cat that’s standing on the back of a cow, to explore how and when cows spew their milk.
* A study for re-animating dead spiders to use as mechanical gripping tools.
* A study for using cadavers to explore whether there is an equal number of hairs in each of a person’s two nostrils.
* Experiments on a city street to see how many passersby stop to look upward when they see strangers looking upward.
* Studying whether and how constipation affects the mating prospects of scorpions.

ALL government funded research.
(Sources: Journal of 'Science', and papers written by the 'scientists' themselves.)

Further, schools like Harvard condone violent behavior, racism, bigotry, anti-American and anti-Israel violence, and pushing sexual perversions as "normal".

So Trump cut their government research funding. Good riddance.

With as badly as America now does science the Han doing better turned out to be not difficult at all.
