Another example of a Dixie's thought processes. I'm not even going to ask how a child supposedly becomes ill because it can not stay up past it's bedtime.
Obviously, you have never been a parent. 'Nuff said!
No... Force a woman to bear RESPONSIBILITY for the life she helped to create! Also force the man to bear RESPONSIBILITY for their part in creating a human life! It's not about "punishment" for anything, it is about RESPONSIBILITY for what you choose to do!Riiiiiight. Force a woman to bear a child. That will teach her not to have sex! And as for the child, well, that will be her punishment.
Every time the child cries for food or attention she will perceive the child as the consequences of her actions. Isn't that going to be a lovely atmosphere in which to bring up a child.
Well just a fucking HUNCH here, but I would presume it a much better atmosphere than a bio-hazard medical waste bag in a dumpster! Not speaking for all children, but I think they would probably prefer being raised in ANY atmosphere other than ending up as medical waste, don't you think?
How much sympathy and empathy will that child have for others when it grows up?
Again, not sure I can prove it to you with science you can understand or anything... but I think they will have more empathy and sympathy for others if they are alive to grow up, as opposed to the bottom of the dumpster in a medical waste bag... just a guess there, we may need to study that some more, but I am pretty sure their chances of compassion will be better if they are living and not dead.
Could that be the reason we see some adults, today, incapable of empathy? Were they born to a woman who really didn't want them but due to religious or other beliefs felt they were obliged to deal with the consequences of their actions?
Well we can't really ask the aborted humans whether they would have preferred being an unwanted child, can we? And other than maybe Waterhead, I've never met a person who said they wished their mother had gotten an abortion! I'll have to check with some of my psychiatry colleagues, but I don't think they have a lot of people battling depression because they are angry at their mothers for not aborting them!
I suppose we file forcing a woman to bear a child under "tough love". "It's for your benefit and it will build character to force you to bear a child you do not want." Yea, that sounds like Dixie logic.
What would be best is for women (and men) to learn there are consequences in life to almost any action you choose to take. Life is full of these, and it is up to YOU to make the right choices, and if you fuck up, you pay the price. It's not MY obligation to provide for your responsibilities, and it's not MY inclination to allow you to kill people to avoid having to accept your responsibilities.
Sure. In 1787 they had medical tests which could be performed and drugs that enabled people to live longer, healthier lives but the Founding Fathers didn't feel that was important. More Dixie logic.
They had all kinds of medicine... and people got sick... couldn't work... couldn't provide for their family... couldn't travel the country in freedom and liberty like you said... The exact same "problems" related to care for health, existed then as they do now, except to MORE of an extreme! It was WORSE! MUCH WORSE! Yet... not a peep from the Founding Fathers! (and Psst... You haven't presented any.)
Do you not think if the Founding Fathers were aware of drugs and medical procedures that could extend the life span of citizens 10 or more years they wouldn't have considered access to them a right?
They were aware that people often got sick, couldn't work, couldn't provide for their families, couldn't afford to see a doctor... that was happening all over the place back then, believe it or not! And what did they say about it? What did they do about it then? What was Adams and Jefferson's solution to the problem in 1787? They certainly didn't enumerate that to the Federal Government, did they?
What is a person's general welfare if not their health? What is more important than a person's health? "To promote the general welfare"....to insure an atmosphere conducive to business but not health? How can any logical person conclude that was the meaning of their words?
The general welfare of the public does not have a damn thing to do with your individual health. I see your understanding of history and civics is on par with your 4th-grade literacy level in science and biology! Going by our current public education system, you are probably in about the 9th grade by now!
Why are you so obsessed with money? There are two types of people with such an obsession. Those who are poor and scraping by every day and those who are greedy. Which one are you?
Uhm, well... because it is MY money, and YOU are spending it! How about THAT? I am one of the greedy ones! I want all the money I can get my hands on, and do not want to be poor and scraping by. Mostly because, I have been poor and scraping by before... didn't know where my next meal would come from... made Ketchup Soup with condiment ketchup packets... things were badd... and I didn't like it one bit! That's why I changed it! I worked hard to get an education, no one helped me pay for it, I worked two jobs for many years, and got myself to where I am today, a greedy bastard who doesn't want to GIVE you a fucking thing, if you aren't willing to earn it!
As for thinking the government has piles of money for the last time try and understand government medical SAVES money. It costs less per capita.
No you stupid fucker, it CAN'T SAVE MONEY! How the fuck do you figure it is going to COVER AN EXTRA 14-30 MILLION PEOPLE.... PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ALL.... and it's going to SAVE money? It is going to COST TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS!
Countries much poorer than the US have government medical. Do some research instead of looking like a fool and repeating the same lies, over and over. You have no idea what you're talking about. None, and you've been told this, time and again.
Yes, we have been told all about Socialist European countries who are accustomed to standing in line 4 hours for a fucking loaf of bread, and how Government-run Health Care is just ALL THE RAGE with them! I'm sure it's only the snobbish elite who are flocking to America because they didn't want to have to wait 6 months for a routine heart surgery?
It's become obvious the right wing/conservative element doesn't give a damn about what most consider freedoms. They'd be happy to live under a repressive regime as long as they had money.
You are the fuckwit about to give up ANY AND ALL MEDICAL CHOICES to the goddamn government! And you don't give a damn whether the rest of us want to do that or not, you are bound and fucking determined to make us all do it too! Just turn it all over to the Government, and let them decide what is best for our health! If this thing passes, I hope your crotchety old-age ass is one of the first generations to be "culled" by your government because you were deemed "worthless" to the productivity of society and terminated! ...After all, Apple... we all know, if you aren't productive, you really aren't 'carrying on the process' of life anymore... so you can be eradicated.
As for what the government can and can't do the government has an obligation to promote the welfare of it's citizens. It's written in the Preamble to the Constitution. To assume "promote the welfare" of citizens means the government is to promote the ability of citizens to collect as much money as possible but not promote the health of those citizens is......well, it's just craziness. It's nonsensical. It's idiocy.
Yes, you are!
