Reason it's a useless and wrong definition:
Can an authoritarian government exist on the Left?
Can a nationalistic government exist on the Left?
"social organization" explains nothing. What kind of social organization?
So, if everything in the definition can and does exist on the Left, how does one differentiate between a "fascist" government and some other form of authoritarian, nationalist, government and social organization? Is it a case of I know it when I see it? That isn't a definition, it's nonsense.

Wrong. Definitions should be accurate and delineate what a word means. We shouldn't listen to Humpty Dumpty.
When you or I define a government by its qualities, those should be specific to the political spectrum. Right and Left should not be defined by a hodgepodge of ill-fitting examples that come down to, as I said, I know it when I see it.

People being people, no doubt there's some of that. I'm sure there are English lit majors or psych majors who look at engineers or computer science majors as booooring.
Mr. Owl's first degree was in engineering. They required very little in the way of so-called liberal arts in his curriculum. However, he's taken art and music appreciation courses on his own. He enjoys music, the symphony, museums including art museums. It makes for a more well-rounded, enriched life, in our opinion.
