Every Hamas member is a dead man, Netanyahu says

And when Israel does retaliate they are blamed fo killing innocent Palestinians. But as you can see from the picture it is impossible to prevent collateral damage even using smart weapons.

Of course. The pro-Palestine/pro-Hamas mob will say anything.

The tactic for decades is for Palestinian terrorists to set up a mortar or rocket position on the roof of a school, mosque or hospital and pitch a few shots into Israel then run before the retaliatory fire arrives. Then they can show pictures of dead women and kids to prove how evil the Jews are.

Muslim terrorists loooooove meat shields.

pretty hard to do. Egypt would have to let the "civilian" ( how does one know who is a civilian in Gaza?) popultion cross into Egypt

I dont see el Sisi wanting anyone from Gaza..so you have a terrorist org embedded with civilians in a dense area
and it requires house to house fighting after the armor is finished
Biden should hit Hezbollah positions in Lebanon - the carrier group is there and can do it
"warning " Iran is futile

Was cutting off all water to Gaza really requirement of military tactical necessity?

Or was it just emotionally-inspired retribution against the entire population of Gaza?

I would think anyone calling themselves a Christian or Buddhist would want to be better than Hamas, and approach this strictly from a position of cold, calculated military tactical necessity.

Unlike American political extremists, the Israelis have put aside their differences and banded to together to meet this crisis.

Afterwards, I suspect Bibi will be in trouble since the Hamas massacres of innocent Israelis happened on his watch.
And it seems there was a bit of a resistance within the ranks of the military/intelligence because of his attempts to control the courts. Which makes him look worse.

They cut off electricity too. The water issue is nothing new

What is your solution to the war? How should Israel respond to the massacre of their citizens?

They're smart enough to band together to resolve the war then figure out their problems later.

IMO, this is all going blowback on Bibi; the intelligence failure, their military positions being overrun, the massacre of innocent citizens.

I read there are enormous tunnel complexes in Gaza. It is possible Hamas is gone. But Bibi can take revenge by slaughtering the people he has in the Gaza prison. People will be killed who are anti Hamas.
I believe Israel did away with the tunnels already.

I believe Israel did away with the tunnels already.

I'm guessing not. Even the US can't get rid of all the tunnels from Mexico.

The only way is to go in and look for them. Besides, all of those rockets have to be hidden somewhere. Also, reports indicate the hostages are held underground.

I'm guessing Gaza has more tunnels and bunkers than North Korea.

Find the Hamas tunnels, and it comes down to a door to door, if you don’t want mass civilian casualties and infrastructure damages. The US and Allies hold the bigger players in check. Sending in 500 lb bombs is not the solution, because when they warn the citizens, they warn Hamas. Ridding Hamas from the areas will mean occupying the territory. We know how the history of occupation goes.

There are no easy answers in any war, especially when one side is a terrorist group.

Do you really think the IDF is just blowing up apartment buildings and malls like the Russians in Ukraine?

They are targeting military positions and command posts. The problem is that Islamic terrorists love to use their own people as meat shields. Do you really expect the IDF to sit back and let Hamas fire rockets into Israel until they can fight their way through 2M people to get the target?

War is bad. It's the reason why only chickenhawks want to start a war and the military doesn't unless absolutely necessary. Why? Because the military knows they'll be losing their own people in any war, good or bad.

Wiping out the infrastructure creates more terrorists, history has shown us that. We have no sources reporting accurately what is being bombed in Palestine.

Israel will lose support if the human casualties become too great, it has happened in the past.

FB_IMG_1697119252085.jpg ...This isn't a war like any other... this is standing up and answering to crimes of humanity like the world should never have to endure.... and to make sure they never happen again...

What is your solution to the war? How should Israel respond to the massacre of their citizens?

I don't have a solution, I'm not a military tactician.

Israel certainly has the right to a lethal military response.

I'm saying that blood lust will not serve anyone well.
There has to be a sweet spot between cold, calculated military retribution, and blood lust.

Good. Dead is better than prisoners since the terrorists will just capture innocent people and use them as pawns to trade for their terrorists. Better to just shoot them when they resist and let them bleed out. That said, as President Biden stated, Israel must abide by the rules of war.

Notice too that the Israelis have put aside their political differences to meet this crisis. Something many JPP members are unwilling to do.

Every Hamas member is a dead man, Netanyahu says
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said every Hamas member was "a dead man" after the first meeting of his country's emergency government.

Alongside him, opposition figure Benny Gantz said it was "a time for war".

But US President Joe Biden said he had spoken to Mr Netanyahu and made it clear that Israel must "operate by the rules of war".

The death toll in Israel has reached 1,200. More than 1,100 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes on Gaza.

Mr Biden said he understood the anger and frustration of the Israeli people but urged Israel to adhere to the principles of the Geneva conventions. He also warned Iran - which has welcomed the Hamas attack - to "be careful".

Earlier on Wednesday Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gantz agreed to put aside a bitter political rivalry that had escalated into widespread protests.

Mr Gantz told Israeli citizens that the newly-formed government was "united" and ready to "wipe this thing called Hamas off the face of the Earth"....

...The emergency government will give broader national consensus to military action. It also brings to the war cabinet two voices who are experts in military strategy. Both Mr Gantz and also Gadi Eisenkot, who joins as an observer, are former Israeli military chiefs of staff.

The announcement of the new cabinet came in the wake of savage attacks by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip.
As they should be....I'm so sick and tired of muslim cowardly men showing up around the country fleeing their wives and families for safety instead of staying home and fighting for better.....leaving their country to lunatics, like we're doing in this country. Hamass deserves total annaliation, fighting a giant you can not win, stupid sand bitches

IMO, best to judge them by their actions, not their ideology.

An action condemned by one ideology might be celebrated by another.
Rather than judging, I'm content to know who is we and who is they.

As diversity goes up, solidarity goes down,
so diverse people like Americans have to feel mutually threatened before they'll [temporarily] come together.

I don't see any good guys in the Middle East, but no Jews knocked down the World Trade Center.
The Jews are OUR bad guys and the jihadist Muslims are THEIR'S.
Any judging will be biased and thus unhelpful.
