Good. Dead is better than prisoners since the terrorists will just capture innocent people and use them as pawns to trade for their terrorists. Better to just shoot them when they resist and let them bleed out. That said, as President Biden stated, Israel must abide by the rules of war.

Notice too that the Israelis have put aside their political differences to meet this crisis. Something many JPP members are unwilling to do.

Every Hamas member is a dead man, Netanyahu says
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said every Hamas member was "a dead man" after the first meeting of his country's emergency government.

Alongside him, opposition figure Benny Gantz said it was "a time for war".

But US President Joe Biden said he had spoken to Mr Netanyahu and made it clear that Israel must "operate by the rules of war".

The death toll in Israel has reached 1,200. More than 1,100 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes on Gaza.

Mr Biden said he understood the anger and frustration of the Israeli people but urged Israel to adhere to the principles of the Geneva conventions. He also warned Iran - which has welcomed the Hamas attack - to "be careful".

Earlier on Wednesday Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gantz agreed to put aside a bitter political rivalry that had escalated into widespread protests.

Mr Gantz told Israeli citizens that the newly-formed government was "united" and ready to "wipe this thing called Hamas off the face of the Earth"....

...The emergency government will give broader national consensus to military action. It also brings to the war cabinet two voices who are experts in military strategy. Both Mr Gantz and also Gadi Eisenkot, who joins as an observer, are former Israeli military chiefs of staff.

The announcement of the new cabinet came in the wake of savage attacks by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip.

Just found this. It's a good read, and it bolsters the notion that most Palestinians are NOT in agreement with Hamas.

Further, it shows that Bibi is every bit as incompetent as trump. Interested only in usurping and keeping control of power.

Interview:
And of course, at the same time, Israel has moved to the far right, and it’s in a strange political situation as well.

I do want to note something else here, which is that Hamas does not represent all Palestinians. What has happened is between Hamas and Israel, but Hamas is only part of the picture when it comes to representation of the people who are within Gaza, right?

The piece also describes in detail what Bernie Sanders appropriately terms 'An open air prison'.

Hamas is doing Palestinians no favors, but murdering Palestinians might not be the answer here.
It's the same blood lust we had for all Muslims after 9/11
Unlike American political extremists, the Israelis have put aside their differences and banded to together to meet this crisis.

Afterwards, I suspect Bibi will be in trouble since the Hamas massacres of innocent Israelis happened on his watch.

I wish they could slaughter all Hamas, while being able to show restraint to innocent civilians of Gaza.

That's what they are attempting to do but Hamas and other Islamic terrorist groups like to use meat shields.

That's something people only do when they absolutely must.

Even diverse Americans pulled together during WWII.
I just barely missed it, myself, but so I'm told.

Frank might remember.

pretty hard to do. Egypt would have to let the "civilian" ( how does one know who is a civilian in Gaza?) popultion cross into Egypt

I dont see el Sisi wanting anyone from Gaza..so you have a terrorist org embedded with civilians in a dense area
and it requires house to house fighting after the armor is finished

Biden should hit Hezbollah positions in Lebanon - the carrier group is there and can do it
"warning " Iran is futile

Hope so.

I lot of "Christian" MAGAs are chanting for Gaza to be vaporized and paved over with asphalt.

It reminds me a lot of when this forum started and Teabaggers were hollering for Mecca to be bombed back into the stone age.

I'd like to see Hamas slaughtered, but effective military retribution should not include blood lust. We are supposed to be better than Hamas.

I think Bibi had no choice. His cabinet is made up of yes men who were picked to help Bibi avoid being prosecuted. It would be like us having a crisis with Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon, Rudy, Steven Miller, and Jeff Eastman in key positions. But Trump would just go with it. Republicans should be thankful that we have a statesman in charge getting counsel from serious people. But instead they bash the guy that’s handled foreign policy in a serious matter. It’s laughable.

Gaza is an open air prison camp. The only way to leave it is by the facilitation of Israeli or Egyptian authorities.

This once again shows the ignorance of Trump supporters. They are driven by fear and rage. That’s why the rest of us have to make sure they are marginalized instead of being in charge of a major political party.

Hope so.

My wife was the court reporter on the Holy Land Foundation trial. I have personally seen videos of public schools in Gaza having plays with kids slitting "Jews" throats with fake knives and kids wearing fake suicide vests blowing up "Jews". The mothers clapped and ulated at the sight of their kids killing "Jews" in the play.. This cycle of violence will never stop. They can only slow the frequency of the violence by wiping out Hamas as utterly as possible. A new organization will eventually replace it though.

Too bad Americans can't be more like that.

:rofl2: Go do something you know about like delivering French Fries for Uber Eats and driving drunk.

That trend in America seems to be reversing. This event may help speed up the process. The fiascos in DC such as not having a Speaker, the politicization of military promotions and national defense are having a negative impact on our national defense.

I read there are enormous tunnel complexes in Gaza. It is possible Hamas is gone. But Bibi can take revenge by slaughtering the people he has in the Gaza prison. People will be killed who are anti Hamas.

Hope so.

I haven't seen any Christians among the MAGAts. Sure, they claim it, but they only talk the talk.

Agreed on being better than Hamas. From about 10 years ago:

And when Israel does retaliate they are blamed fo killing innocent Palestinians. But as you can see from the picture it is impossible to prevent collateral damage even using smart weapons.
