When Worlds Collide on the Internet:

There is a little place up here where they filmed "Anatomy of a Murder." It's now an inn with a restaurant. We go there once a week or so for lunch/dinner. They always have that movie playing on one of the two large screen TVs in the restaurant, with the sound turned off on both. Talk about a boring dialogue-driven movie. You'd love it! But not the plaid and jeans-wearing patrons with beards, who arrive (depending on season) on snow-mobiles, ATVs, or trucks. Or the blues or rock or country music background, depending on the owners' mood that day. Or the short wine list but long list of local beers. Or the giant moose head over the fireplace. lol

Great movie. IIRC, Jimmy Stewart's dad was embarrassed because his son held up a pair of women's panties in the movie.

Kids movies do well because it's a day out with the kids. I think theaters are dead.

Agreed for most. 3D and/or Imax for a movie "experience" can be nice.

IMO the first movie was the best mostly because the story line and characters and setting and amazing videography and special effects were new, although it's easily argued that the plot was borrowed from multiple sources. The second one lacked the amazing intro to Pandora and its people and its beauty, but made up for it in other ways. It's lovely to go to a show and even though you're aware of the cliches and contradictions and plot flubs, its sheer beauty sweeps you away into another world for a few hours.

Oh, yeah. And with the matinee you get more room to yourself. Theaters are more comfortable now in order to lure more people away from their big screens. I'm a huge sci-fi fan so, like I said, it was more than worth it for me to see it in a theater with cushy, reclining seats in 3D :)

Unknown. Maybe he murdered her and the "slut" is hacked up and dissolving in a basement vat of chemicals....or, maybe he's sick and in a facility where she keeps tabs on him.
 
I was never a huge Harrison Ford Fan, and I'm not really sure why. Because in all of his blockbuster hit movies, he always seemed to bring the movies around and make them pretty good memorable movies actually. My favorite Harrison Ford Movie was Blade Runner, but his first couple of Indiana Jones movies were pretty entertaining Adventure movies, and hey, his first couple of Star Wars roles were pretty good as well. SO maybe I liked him, after all, but just took a while to adjust to his unique dry personality. Harrison has always been allowed to just play or be himself in all of his roles. So that's a pretty good thing- if you can get it. Not many Hollywood stars get that kind of a break!

And after all, he is the 7th most successful Hollywood man in the history of movie making.

So yes, I would like to see him in his new movie. I have to admire him, and all of the recent actors and actresses that are still going after 80!

I'll just wait to stream it though, as soon as it becomes available for pay per view!

It's a business decision. The racist fuckwits can make their own movies. I suggest remaking "Mandingo"...with a white guy...and black actors as the slavers.

AMC A-list 3 movies per week, $24 a month. It’s my birthday month (free large soda and popcorn, but just once. Rewards are great. Any movie any showing any seat. We go at least once a week. I love going to the movies.
