The answer is easy. The rare condition of trans kids stirs up and angers the rightys. Read the posts and see the vituperation of the posters. The only ones suffering are the kids who have enough problems trying to cope and fit in. The Reds do not care who they hurt if they convince themselves they are "owning:" the left.
 
Who cares? Given the serious mental health issues trans persons have, they're far more likely to just commit suicide and render the whole thing moot...
