No crime San Francisco trip!

It’s not all need based, there is money available for even wealthy people

He told me I'm giving her X amount, her grandparents are giving her X amount and she has to come up with the rest on her own.

All money isn't the same. There are scholarships, which don't have to be paid back, and then there are loans that do. For the latter, it comes down to how deep into debt is a kid willing to go.

Possibly. My friend isn't rich but he still makes enough money that she likely isn't going to qualify for a lot of loans. (Doesn't mean she can't get them but she's not the target)

Maybe she can focus on getting grants and scholarships. $70K for undergrad is mind-boggling.

What does that have to do with the OP's son?

Well if I knew the answer to that I wouldn't have had to ask now, would I?
My question to you: How do you know Jarod's kid is going to college for an education when not all kids go to college for an education?

You're not kidding. And the thing is there are schools that cost more than that. Not all kids pay that face amount of course. But even if can get lets say $25K in grants or scholarships, which is not a small amount, you're still left paying well over $40K/yr.

So when we hear these polls showing more kids souring on college this is a definite reason why. If you don't get large amounts of grants, or have parents willing to fork the bill for you, it's tough.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A dark, devastating epidemic is becoming increasingly more deadly in San Francisco.

Fentanyl has killed more people than COVID-19 in San Francisco.

743 people have died from accidental drug overdoses in San Francisco from January 2021 through February 2022, according to records released from the city.

S.F is controlled by the far left Democratic Socialist loons.

I don't. I'm trying to figure out why so-called conservatives hate education and assume the worst about it when they have no personal exposure to higher education themselves.

I can see why that’s so daunting for you. I knew many conservatives in undergrad and professional school that did quite well in both. In fact I’d even go so far as to say the best students I happened to know were conservatives.
If you had no contact with conservatives in higher education then I must assume you had no personal exposure to higher education yourself.
